Saturday 7 November is likely to see a very high-profile charity railtour taking place. We cannot yet say that it is definite as we will be doing something that has never been done before and there are technical problems that have not yet been overcome. Please do not ask us any questions as we are bound by secrecy. More will be known in early August. For now, just keep the date free and keep watching our website!

Let the speculation commence!

I'll get the ball rolling then (or is it froth flowing)...

Could 41001 be mainlined and if so could it be mainlined by November?

Just thinking as UKRT have a good relationship with EMT who are working with Project Miller...

Major Froth :D

Wonder if it's a preview trip of the Class 800s/801s on what be their usual stomping grounds when they're in squadron service.

Would a 374 be allowed to take passengers on a rail tour from London to either Brussels or Paris or have they not yet reached a stage in testing where they'd be allowed to have any passengers?

Do EMT's HSTs have short or long links?

1. Excuse my ignorance, but what are short or long links?

2. I reckon that this possible railtour must be something to do with chunnel travel?

3. Or could it be anything to do with Crossrail?

No need to apologise .... a double headed GWR King and Castle would be fine for me!!

Yes, that would be great. :D ( I have been through the Severn Tunnel infact with King Edward I which was good, it was interesting on the outbound journey as the lights in my carriage had not been switched on, so going through in the dark and with all the sounds and smell of a fast GWR loco was briliiant.) (We had a really fast run coming back in the evening too through South Wales.)
