Yes I am, internal applicant. Word has it however the driver recruitment is on hold for the time being.

Could this be due to the "Freightliner" effect?
Feel sorry for everyone who's gone through the effort and stress of the process if it has been put "on hold" at this point! If true, they should really be telling people that, as some might have deliberately kept themselves available for an April start seeing as that was specified. Seems unlikely it'll be April 4th at this late stage, if indeed April at all!

I believe there's a recruitment freeze on now due to the franchise issue. Basically TPE after April first is solely run by first but now it's run by first and keolis, and keolis are saying they are not allowed to recruit any members of staff as they do not want to spend any money as after April they are no longer part of the company

You cannot remotely compare 'stress' of filling in an application form from the stress of impending redundancy. Many long serving decent drivers are going to be 'down the road'. Also I would say most people applying for trainee positions are in employment so actually have nothing to loose.

I rang today and the man gave me another number to ring tomorrow when the lady is back at work. Doesnt look good for april start though does it

Lots of freight drivers are on the verge of redundancy. The unions are trying to find positions for these lads and are in talks with the TOCS. So could have something to do with it.

Just rang HR they said they haven't heard back with the interview results yet.
They hope for end of this week.

Am hoping its soon, the missus is after booking a trip in june! Fingers crossed i wont be free to go on it!
