Enfield Lock was also opened in 1840 by the Northern and Eastern Railway.
I believe that the station didn't open until 1855, although the line opened in 1840.

Moving on... Enfield Lock is the only London fare zone 6 managed by Greater Anglia. Similarly West Drayton is the only Great Western managed station in London fare zone 6.

QUERY RAISED

My posting of Iver was following on from that of West Drayton, so you cannot post West Drayton AGAIN as the follow-on station from Iver, but need another station to be named.

You are quite right, my apologies. Try this one:

The operation of Langley station was also transferred to MTR Crossrail on behalf of Transport for London at the end of 2017 in preparation for the introduction of Elizabeth Line services.
Which Castleton, please? There seems to be two - in Greater Manchester and Yorkshire - thanks.
I have been in all my railway archives to check on your query and can report that Castleton in Derbyshire has never had any railway station, so it is the Castleton station in Greater Manchester (whose original station was once called Blue Pits) that is the one in my posting.

There is a currently open station in North Yorkshire called Castleton Moor on the Esk Valley line, which was opened in April 1861 as the temporary terminus of the North Yorkshire and Cleveland Railway and this is the only station site that this station ever has had.

Goole also still has a working signal box in the vicinity of the station. All the signals under it's oversight are colour-lights unlike Parbold however, but it does also overlook and control a level crossing.
