Had an email from GWR Resourcing. It's a little ambiguous, but I am hopeful of a successful result for Stage 1. It says "We are pleased to advised you haven completed the first stage". :3
Ditto! I was there on Monday and received this email today. Wording is a bit strange, but it does mention letting me know about stage 2 in due course. So that has to be good news right?

I've read and reread it about sixteen times so far in the last two hours, and had a few friends look over it too... And their general consensus is that its a pass notification. I'm not so sure, but I'm learning towards it being good news. A lot quicker than the two weeks we were told minimum too!

Happy for you, mate! Glad there's a few of us from Monday that did well! :) Were you in the 1pm-4pm slot?

I received a similar email and then a confirmation of being successful and then an invite to stage 2 about a week later.

Mine said the same back in January when I did mine, and 5 days later they sent an e-mail inviting me to Stage Two, which was the MMI assessment. Good luck.

Mine from Freightliner was similar. It said something like, “You have completed stage one, we will be in touch in due course to invite you to stage 2”. I assumed it was good news as they mentioned stage two, although they didn’t mention ‘passing’ stage one.

Riddle me this riddle me that.....why can't they be clear?
I’ve found this a lot in railway recruitment this past year....I agree though, just say what you mean, makes it a lot easier.

In my experience if you didn't get it they would straight up tell you, you didn't get it.

I attended a stage 2 last week with TPE and still not heard whether I’ve passed the mmi. How long have others had to wait to hear back? I am so impatient when waiting for results

I applied for Bristol, Westbury, Gloucester & Fratton (the last one totally not interested in), and when I did my MMI, I got the results straight away after the interview. The lady just said that I've passed, and gave some tips on the DMI.

Have you a date for your DMI?

Aha! I think I remember the face now! :) Same, Watford would be very much better for me, being London-based... XD Swindon wouldn't be too bad, but the tube doesn't run there...

Thank you.

How is your application going on too? Did you have to re-do your assessments in the end then?
Application has gone well, had my DMI and passed just waiting on a course now hopefully not to long a wait

Likewise, I'm waiting on Paddington at the moment, I passed my DMI a couple of weeks back now. Let's hope the wait isn't years...

I was told I’ve been successful a couple of months ago and it already feels like years o_O:lol:

Not even sure when the ‘pool’ will be completed as they’re still assessing candidates? I guess if nothing else, those being assessed last will theoretically have the least time in the pool if successful?

Hi all, does anyone know for definite what, if any, DOO trains/stations GWR run.

I can only find the below whilst searching. But, it’s not clear wether the intention to have DOO from Paddington has happened.

( Class 800 (IET) services from Paddington to Oxford, with the intention of these trains running as Driver Only Operation )

Thanks in advance.

I believe everything that is a 387 is doo , so pad to Newbury, pad to bedwyn is normally doo with class 800 and some turbos , class 800s run doo to Oxford from pad . Heathrow express is doo as well

Passed the MMI, now begins the wait for a DMI!!
Well done! I like that they are letting everyone know quite quickly after the long wait. I have my stage 2 and MMI in April. Can I ask what questions they asked for MMI please?
