The mmi is based on what answers you put down for certain questions that are listed on a sheet but the situation judgement test that you do.on the computer goes to the mmi and sways how they asked you questions on your answers if that makes sense .

There quite a few good points here. The best advice to give is to follow the STAR technique and ensure the answer to your question has each of the elements in it. Take a moment to think about a situation/example in your head before you answer...totally acceptable to do that!

The examples don’t have to be ‘hero’ moments. Just make sure whatever example you use hits the train driver role (safety, prioritising tasks, personal responsibility, working alone etc)

I was wondering if anyone had a DMI in the last week for Oxford talent pool?
I had one but still waiting an answer..........

Also are there many people on here already in the pool?

I had passed my DMI last month for Paddington. Got told I passed the next day, but nothing since. Everything with railway recruitment takes a lot of time unfortunately, it could be many months till we get an update.

I too had a DMI last month and was told I’d been successful a day later (although they didn’t say not to expect a decision for a week or so). I’m in the pool for Fratton, but as has been said, it could be ages before we hear anything further.

There's lots of parking around the town centre nearby, I don't think there's any dedicated parking for the assessment centre itself.

If it's anything like mine, the traffic was quite bad at the time of day, so I left really early just to make sure, and had a McDonalds breakfast whilst I waited... :smile:

No free parking. There is a car park right next to Milford House, it’s very popular. There are a couple of multi storey car parks in the town which is only a two min walk away.
The train station is also directly behind Milford House.

I’m waiting, but only been in the pool for a couple of months (or I’ve been told I’ll be in the pool, not even sure it’s been created yet as they said all internal candidates have to be assessed and interviewed first?).

I’ve not been waiting long, only been in the pool around two weeks.

I’m preparing myself for a long wait.

And almost with a sense of irony since I only posted that yesterday, I received a call just now asking me to attend a medical and for my availability for a course starting in July

Thanks. It’s for GWR. I was in the talent pool and was prepared for a much longer wait. Fingers crossed I’ve not just imagined the call
