We join a shiny 700 for a late-night jaunt across the capital, as we then board the 2226 Thameslink service 9S69 to Brighton, arriving there at 0024 in the early hours of Friday morning.

We then board the 2015 Uno service 653 to Welwyn Garden City (Bus Station), arriving there at 2058 on Thursday evening.

QUERY RAISED

Since the previous service arrived at 2013, this would appear to have only left a TWO MINUTE connection time to the departure of this service, which is a different service to that service 602 which arrived at Smallford.

Has there been a rule change from the stated FIVE MINUTE minimum connection time?

I will not be online now until Sunday 31st March, as we will be in Shanklin on the Isle of Wight on holiday with a "wifely-imposed" Internet embargo

Oops, I didn't notice that! I think I must have read it as arriving at 2004.

But it works out fine because we can instead catch the 2041 Arriva Sapphire 300 service, arriving at Welwyn station at 2110, which still gives us enough time to get the 2126 to Hitchin. So it doesn't affect any previous moves.

Sorry, the source I used didn't state that the 6 calls at Stop B on Piccadilly Circus, which is actually at the end of Piccadilly itself outside the Le Méridien restaurant and is 0.6 miles away from Charing Cross station.

Are we okay to let this slip and continue from Crowhurst?

I think so. When "stop blocks" are used one can use an amount of leeway, especially when the specific stop/stand isn't stated.

One could argue that we used the Trafalgar Square entrance to Charing Cross station (and thus pull it back to 0.5 miles).

Brillo. In that case I shall continue from Crowhurst.

Surprisingly not a lot is going on here. There are no local bus services so we wait for the 1859 Southeastern service 1H74 to Tunbridge Wells, arriving there at 1934 on Friday evening.

We return the following morning for the 0624 Brighton and Hove Regency service 29 to Tunbridge Wells (Sainsburys), arriving there at 0712 on Saturday morning.

A delightful town, if you ever get the chance to visit. The Wetherspoons is an absolute gem (The Opera House, a former theatre).
