Does anyone know which was the plastic wrapped at Longsight today (around 13.30 on 6th Sept)? I wouldn't say no to the identity of the 37 and barrier coaches either.

I believe that was 37884 with 397002.

Looks like 1E39 isn’t replaced with anything. My stopper got overtaken as usual at Dewsbury but it looks like it was the late running Middlesbrough 185.

On the plus, at least it hasn’t just passed me when I was looking to see if I could catch it to get to York!

Very! Heaton Lodge Jn (I think I’ve picked the right end...) can be very lively on a 185 approaching from Huddersfield towards Mirfield. The Northern stock seems to deal with it a bit better!

None of the proposed Scarborough-Redcar trips worked and haven’t (as yet) appeared in the system for next week either.

Driver refresher trips continued on the Scarborough to York line, mainly using the Scarborough loco.

Does anyone know what’s happening with driver/guard training? I notice that the Crewe-Wavertree Junction trips with Nova 3 seem to have finished. Is training on the service trains now?

Wouldn’t have thought so. It’s Arriva Train Care who are operating the depot on behalf of TPE so it could be an interesting debate in who was going to take ownership of that!

Surely you find that the Down L&Y runs to Heaton Lodge East Jn where it meets the Down Huddersfield at 29m72ch (37m48ch via Hebden Bridge)?

It’s probably just a throw away line, but at the end of the video below it mentions ‘TransPennine Express hope to have an Open Day once the Depot is completed’. I take your point though about ‘ownership’!

Are you allowed to say if there will be a Nova 3 set out based at Scarborough in the near future? I’d guess new depot staff will need some training. I wonder too if the drivers and guards at Scarborough have commenced their training yet? I fully understand if you are not allowed to say.

I hadn't seen that video. The SCA depot is something we're very pleased with, but I wouldn't know of any further plans.

In terms of regular stabling, I wouldn't expect to see this until we get Nova 3 onto some regular diagrams (i.e. after this ad-hoc single train on driver/conductor practical handling).
