As far as I know it's the 1400 Kings Cross-Aberdeen and the 0752 Aberdeen-Kings Cross the next morning.

Yep that’s right. Starts as 0622 NCL-EDB and 0830 EDB-KGX

Looks like 1625 NCL-KGX and 2100 return moves over to Azuma on Oct 14

The Lincoln services start Oct 21, 1x5 car set..t he 125 still works 0730 & 1906 return as of now.

5Y43 went to Ferme Park / Bounds Green

Seems like three 10-car diagrams. From looking at the LNER booking engine, I have

0505 Leeds to London Kings Cross
0803 London Kings Cross to Leeds
1045 Leeds to London Kings Cross

1403 London Kings Cross to Leeds
1645 Leeds to London Kings Cross
1933 London Kings Cross to Leeds

0903 London Kings Cross to Leeds
1145 Leeds to London Kings Cross

1533 London Kings Cross to Leeds
1815 Leeds to London Kings Cross

0640 Leeds to London Kings Cross
1006 London Kings Cross to Newark North Gate
1156 Newark North Gate to London Kings Cross
1433 London Kings Cross to Leeds
1714 Leeds to London Kings Cross
2003 London Kings Cross to Leeds

The workings in italics are shown as 10-coach on Tuesday but as "Electric Train" on Monday so don't know whether there is a swap over scheduled to fit in with where the 801/1s are or if the formation has been entered wrong into the booking engine. Are there four 801/1s at Bounds Green? Anyway, three full diagrams on Tuesday.

The 16:45 from Leeds to London Kings Cross is what I'm booked onto this Tuesday. You watch, First Class will either be in the middle or both ends!

thanks. I wonder when the last day of HST operations will be. Suspect that will be busy. Strange as although I remember the Deltics (just) most of my life the HSTs / 91s have ruled the ECML.

hopefully the air conditioning will keep working in the summer.

Will the 14:45 Leeds to KGX today be Azuma?

EDIT; it doesn't appear to exist?! Thought Leeds to KGX is half-hourly Monday to Saturday?

The HST diagrams start to be moved over from Nov 18th. Only 3 of the current diagrams left after Dec 9th from what I can see.

Leeds services usually leave King’s Cross at xx:03 and xx:33 (directly following the xx:00 and xx:30 Newcastle/Anglo-Scot services) although of course there are exceptions. Looking at RTT today there’s a 14.35 and a 15.03.

Thank you to anyone providing information but just a gentle reminder that we only allow the use of station codes or abbreviations if they are the full and correct CRS codes; we don't accept made up codes on this forum. If the CRS codes you use have not been recently defined, please do state the station names once. Many thanks :)

I guess it's already been mentioned that 10 car Azuma have started running to Leeds on weekends also? Unless the one I saw on Saturday was a one-off.

Why would there not be?

One key difference between franchises operating long distance and rural routes and the ones operating the London commuter routes is that the former have much more similar stock requirements on weekdays and weekends and the latter have lots of stock parked up at the weekend. Same with traincrew.

Therefore, as LNER introduce Azumas to weekday diagrams, the weekend diagrams have to change in pretty much the same way.

The LNER booking engine suggests the following 10-car Azuma diagrams this Saturday.

04+28 Neville Hill T&R.S.M.D to Leeds
0505 Leeds to London Kings Cross
0803 London Kings Cross to Leeds
1045 Leeds to London Kings Cross
1335 London Kings Cross to Leeds
1615 Leeds to London Kings Cross
1903 London Kings Cross to Leeds
21+44 Leeds to Neville Hill T&R.S.M.D

07+07 Ferme Park Recp. to London Kings Cross
0903 London Kings Cross to Leeds
1145 Leeds to London Kings Cross
1435 London Kings Cross to Leeds
1714 Leeds to London Kings Cross
20+50 London Kings Cross to Bounds Green T&R.S.M.D

03+10 Ferme Park Recp. to London Kings Cross
0555 London Kings Cross to Leeds
0845 Leeds to London Kings Cross
1135 London Kings Cross to Leeds
1415 Leeds to London Kings Cross
1703 London Kings Cross to Leeds
1945 Leeds to London Kings Cross
23+38 London Kings Cross to Bounds Green T&R.S.M.D

04+44 Doncaster Carr Iep Depot to Leeds
0605 Leeds to London Kings Cross
0933 London Kings Cross to Leeds
1215 Leeds to London Kings Cross
1503 London Kings Cross to Leeds
1745 Leeds to London Kings Cross
2030 London Kings Cross to Leeds
23+10 Leeds to Doncaster Carr Iep Depot

with a 9-car on

04+45 Neville Hill T&R.S.M.D to Skipton
0655 Skipton to London Kings Cross
1103 London Kings Cross to Leeds
1345 Leeds to London Kings Cross
1718 London Kings Cross to Hull
20+23 Hull to Doncaster Carr Iep Depot

Other 9-cars on the York / Newcastle / Scotland / Newark services.

Does anyone know the next trains booked to go across to Azuma?

I notice the 1625 Newcastle - Kings Cross & Return has been mentioned for 14th October.

Is this the only known change prior to the start of the regular Lincoln services on 21st October?

Not sure if mentioned elsewhere but Splitting and Coupling at Kings Cross starts from Monday 21st October.

1A07 0630 BDQ-KGX split for X2 Lincoln's (1006/1206 1B82/1B84)

Then 2 units join in the evening from 1B87 1526 NNG-KGX and an Empty 5 car from Bounds Green for 1803 1D26 to SKI.

Any inside knowledge on the switch between overhead to diesel for the upcoming 800 Inverness service, possibly Stirling or Dunblane? As for the KX-Aberdeen the switch over would possibly happen at Haymarket?

Oct 21 sees 0630 BDQ-KGX, 0933 KGX-LDS, 1215 LDS-KGX, 1503 KGX-LDS, 1745 LDS-KGX, 2033 KGX-LDS switch over. As has been mentioned above the 0630 from BDQ splits into the 1006 and 1206 LCN services. Rest of above diagram is formed off 0640 LDS-KGX.

What are the ‘general’ weekday times for 80x on the calling at York services? Back in London on the 25th and hoping I can get an Azuma down

Check the LNER booking engine. It will show clearly what services are booked for Azumas. Looks like 1002, 1032, 1232, 1402, 1432, 1731, 2119 are the direct Azumas from York to Kings Cross on 25 October. Many other options changing at Leeds or Doncaster.

My bold. I just looked. I couldn't see that type of info, or does one interpolate that from some information that only an enthusiast would understand?

I like how the flexible super off-peak singles are cheaper than the advance fares for the 10:32 (£57.40 instead of £70, nearly same price for the 10:02 service)
I think that if a passenger actually tried to buy the £70 AP that they'd be warned that a cheaper ticket was available. Though now I think about it that might have been a WebTIS feature so I'm not sure if it'll have been carried over onto the new software...

Are any services expected to be going over to 800/801 operation soon? I fail to believe that there are no direct 80xs to get me to London early morning or back home :(

From York? It appears that they aren't yet stabling / servicing 80x overnight at Heaton. There are only two HSTs there overnight with the remainder Mk4 sets.

I'd imagine that Heaton starters become 80x once the 9-car electric units are available to directly replace Mk4 sets. None are in service yet.

Yes :(

I mean, if anyone knew the timings of the MK5s, I could go TPE to Leeds and then Azuma down to Kings X...
