On Sundays, services run from East Didsbury to Manchester Airport.
Not just on Sundays. The TfW Llandudno services that run to Manchester Airport during the weekday daytime all stop at East Didsbury.
Not just TfW either - Northern and TPE also have regular trains from EDY to MIA throughout the week.
Assuming post #17047 is valid (it's not factually incorrect)

Eccles is another National Rail station sharing its name with a Manchester Metrolink terminus, but where interchanging involves a walk through local streets.
