Oi! I live on that line!I'd say Trafford Park to Warrington Central, plain and boring

Watford jct to London euston DC. Lines.
Something exciting? do you leave the curtains open.I don't agree that the view from this is always so bad - you can see our bedroom between Bushey and Watford High Street!
Nah, don't be silly.Something exciting? do you leave the curtains open.

The Atherton Line?
A slow trip through some of the most deprived areas of Northern England
Hag Fold is sadly another story - I honestly cannot understand why Northern use this station or stop here.
As far as depressing lines go I'm suprised no one has mentioned Chester via Altrincham all stops
Couldn’t disagree more! I think the rolling hills and big fields are great! Also Basingstoke to Winchester. Once past the Salisbury junction it's just plain boring. Green, but immensely boring. Seems to be more boring when you get closer to Winchester.
Where’s your sense of historical appreciation? Charles Dickens, the former Thames & Medway Canal, Denton Rifle Range...Hoo J
Hoo Jct ?
Yeah a very odd choice. That's a lovely bucolic route.

Stockport-Alty isn’t great, and the scenery west of Mouldsworth is pretty flat and dull. The long bit in the middle is full of delights though: urban as well as rural. Knutsford has a fine skyline, and the views from Northwich viaduct are impressive. Even Lostock Gralam has an interesting canal wharf and the heavy industry is still operational. The countryside on the fringes of Tatton Park and Delamere Forest is really pretty.
St Pancras International to Farringon, you get to see the mess that is the old Kings Cross Thameslink railway station
Don't disagree! Interesting while depressing!Personally I find those disused and half dismantled stations very interesting to look at
That's not a very nice way to describe Frizinghall and Manningham!Shipley to Bradford Forster Square is pretty grim - There’s just so much fly-tipping!
I think it’s fair to say that they’ve both had their day, nice architecture, but now run down (As with the rest of Bradford). Fly-tipping is a problem with most inner city railways. That's not a very nice way to describe Frizinghall and Manningham!
I agree, the approaches to Glasgow Central are particularly depressing from all directions, the last wee bit I see from my Kilmarnock train very much so.The WCML from Motherwell more or less to Glasgow Central

The dereliction of the Network Rail buildings (I presume) in the space between the Inverclyde/Ayrshire lines and the WCML on the last stretch is particularly shocking - a complete lack of any pride in their estate. What does that say about the quality of the organisation? Not much in my opinion.
Queens park to harrow and wealdstone you mean no line from queens park to harrow on the hill.Queens park to harrow on the hill is grim
