What bus is that?33693 was on the 60 yesterday, so I'm suspecting it's finally got a cash vault now that it's covering more routes?
That's the one. Started on the 60A and then went on to do the 60. It's not been out today though, so who knows if it'll get confined to the 5 againWhat bus is that?
I seen a red E400 full height on a 60A.
Is the Streetdeck still on the 31?That's the one. Started on the 60A and then went on to do the 60. It's not been out today though, so who knows if it'll get confined to the 5 again
Yes, but I believe that's exclusive to the route for more reasons than just no cash vault. Is the Streetdeck still on the 31?
The Streetdecks arrived a few weeks back. I believe there are plans for them to be out in service early March.Speaking of Streetdecks, look what’s arrived at Caledonia Depot! The new Airport 500 Electroliners have been delivered.
Also 64102 is back in service, weirdly it’s on the 5 today and not the 398.
(Photos taken earlier today on-board 37461 which was on the 75)
Will they be reregistered to 25 plates? The Streetdecks arrived a few weeks back. I believe there are plans for them to be out in service early March.

Also been back a whileAlso 64102 is back in service, weirdly it’s on the 5 today and not the 398.
Why has nobody mentioned them arriving till now? Not being rude, I just want to know. The Streetdecks arrived a few weeks back. I believe there are plans for them to be out in service early March.
I noted seven of them there whilst passing on the M74 on the 22nd January. Why has nobody mentioned them arriving till now? Not being rude, I just want to know.
It was spoken about a few pages back. There have been photos of the buses arriving/in and around the depot circlingWhy has nobody mentioned them arriving till now? Not being rude, I just want to know.
They've been mentioned a few times alreadyWhy has nobody mentioned them arriving till now? Not being rude, I just want to know.
First’s constant changing of livery has meant there are modern buses which have been painted about 4 or 5 times now in their life time. There’s been Barbie, Olympia, Urban (with branding), Urban (without branding) and now ultraviolet not to mention the low height E400s had a special grey and pink 66 branded livery. Some buses were painted into local liveries for FSE and Aberdeen which have since returned and been repainted to.How of often do First repaint their buses (excluding repaints for new livery and advertisements)…. is it a fixed time period of time or as-needed basis?
I agree 100% they should have stuck to one livery for all of their fleet. At least ultraviolet looks really nice and not too plain.First’s constant changing of livery has meant there are modern buses which have been painted about 4 or 5 times now in their life time. I really hope First stick to the ultraviolet livery as it’s very smart and keeps the fleet more uniform. The money that must have been wasted on repaints.
Been there for around the last 10 days in a Silver livery. It’s back at Overtown now, so it must of been on a quick loan like 67028 was a few weeks back.
I assume there will be a re-shuffle next Sunday (March 2nd), what with the whole situation at Dumbarton.Been there for around the last 10 days in a Silver livery.
Best viewed from the railway line side of the depot.
Presumably being put into service in March. Assume they will probably need tickets machines transferred from the current 500 buses.
Well 47464 is back from the dead, painted into new livery as well, having lain moss covered in Dumbarton depot for over a year. 47462 also back in service after a long absence. Might even get 44447 on the road at this rate.I assume there will be a re-shuffle next Sunday (March 2nd), what with the whole situation at Dumbarton.
All buses that have been off the road for long periods of time that are still roadworthy are to be reinstated to alleviate the vehicle shortage as well as the service changes next Sunday for Dumbarton.Well 47464 is back from the dead, painted into new livery as well, having lain moss covered in Dumbarton depot for over a year. 47462 also back in service after a long absence. Is this across all depots? I still don't know why 33441's been on a big holiday. All buses that have been off the road for long periods of time that are still roadworthy are to be reinstated to alleviate the vehicle shortage as well as the service changes next Sunday for Dumbarton.
There's been a shortage for months even when the E200EVs where still on the road before they where sent to ADL. The Eclipses, E400 and the streetlites where brought up because they where needed, Big backlog of repairs as well.Is this across all depots? I still don't know why 33441's been on a big holiday.
Also worth mentioning that only four out of the thirty E200 EVs are still away for repair, so the shortage should be easing off a bit.
Oh, and Caley got another one of Aberdeen's trainers somehow (69128), which makes me wonder if 133 or 335 might get put into service work with the rest of the active Urbans as there's no way there's been a shortage on trainers as well...?
Plus Aberdeen’s had a lot of buses from Glasgow go on long-term loan to them (such as Geminis and E300s) due to their fleet problems too. There's been a shortage for months even when the E200EVs where still on the road before they where sent to ADL. Is 44447 in a position to ever be resurrected or has it reached the point of no return?Well 47464 is back from the dead, painted into new livery as well, having lain moss covered in Dumbarton depot for over a year. 47462 also back in service after a long absence. It’s not turned a wheel in service for Glasgow since arriving. Must be something major, and it may have been cannibalised for spares by now. Maybe someone from Dumbarton depot may know as that’s where it’s dumped. Is 44447 in a position to ever be resurrected or has it reached the point of no return?
Thank you for the news on 44447.It’s not turned a wheel in service for Glasgow since arriving. Must be something major, and it may have been cannibalised for spares by now. Maybe someone from Dumbarton depot may know as that’s where it’s dumped.
Also 47458 is back in Lanarkshire. Seen on 266 today.
What about the Geminis? Will they be sent back to Glasgow or be kept in Aberdeen?Understood. So there's probably a few solutions upcoming:
- The E400s from Aberdeen coming back down once they get their Electroliners.
- I know they have currently all been heading to Scotstoun, but with 33693 in use at Caley it may make sense to bring some there now as well.
- The E400 City's no longer being reserved for airport work.
- I understand they were originally planned to go elsewhere, but this may have changed and if they do stay in Glasgow we suddenly have 10 more deckers in regular service.
- RATP cascades?
- There's bound to be some. I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure 32657 was ex-London so this sort of thing can happen.
Most of the Geminis were supposed to be staying until all the hydrogen buses were back in service, which will probably be next year if the green hydrogen facility is not met with further delays. What about the Geminis? Will they be sent back to Glasgow or be kept in Aberdeen?
