Car crashes into Virgin Voyager at level crossing in Lanarkshire

As I understand, police in the UK now use the term Road Traffic Collision (RTC) rather than RTA, on the assumption that, as in this case, nearly all such incidents involve some level of responsibility.

    Cathedrals Express VIC-FAV 23 July

Does anybody know the reason for the delay to this service. At Charing we heard initially that it was a fire on one of the diesels at Lenham, then that it was failure of a diesel.

Crossrail is building on the brilliance of Brunel

With all of the major work being carried out, not only Crossrail, there is probaly a lot of railway archeology being uncovered. The Shakespeare Cliff is one example where it won't be practical to preserve it, but how much of it is even appreciated, let alone recorded. Crossrail Press release...

Footage of driver stuck inside Level Crossing Barrier

Noticed the warning/stop lights went off when the barriers were raised. A cyclist chanced his arm but other motorists were sensible enough to stay put. Should there be a facility to raise the barriers without cancelling the lights?

I am amazed of the UK Railway System and how massive the network is

We recently travelled the California Coast route on Amtrak from LA to Santa Barbara and Santa Barbara to Oakland for San Francisco. LAX to SBA is about 90 miles and is timetabled to take 2 hours, SBA to OKJ is about 320 miles and timetabled to take 8 hours. The thing we noticed was the dwell...

If ATW claim that it was caused by the weather then you may not get compensation, otherwise you will be eligible. You need to send the original ticket only, if you are requesting monetary compensation rather than rail vouchers. Regards Bushy
