First Great Western - Trainee Drivers

An update for anyone who took stage one assessments in Bristol back in June: I passed first stage at Bristol in June. Along with a few others I received an email saying I'd passed but they were unable to recruit outside the company for 6 months. Tuesday morning I got a call inviting me to...

First Great Western - Trainee Drivers

I'm another one still waiting to hear from bristol. I was there on the 4th. Got down to around 3/4 of the page on the dots. Was fairly certain I didn't get any wrong or miss any. Might have got one or two wrong on GLOP and got to around 34 on the dials. Though I think I did get one possibly two...

    Structured interview question

I think I may have worded my original post wrong. Perhaps a better question would have been are there any solutions to answer this question well. Certainly a training course would be a good idea as it shows commitment not only to passing training courses but also to securing the job I am...

    Structured interview question

Hi all. I've recently applied for a trainee driver position with first. I feel confident enough with the psychometric tests but one question on the structured interview really leaves me stumped..have you ever been on a training course lasting two weeks or longer? Due to the nature of work I've...

    FGW Recruitment Process

Certainly seems to me that compared to other toc's FGW hr's are incredibly slow. Other applications I've made to ATW, SWT and AXC have all been responded to (unsuccessfully) within a matter of weeks.

    FGW Recruitment Process

In my experience it could be anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. This is the first time ive made it past shortlisting and incidentally the shortest time ive had to wait for a reply. maybe they contact successful applicants before unsuccessful people. Think i'll hold off applying for...

    FGW Recruitment Process

It was ages before i'd heard back for a trainee driver position with them as well. All be it i was unsuccessful for shortlisting. That was back in november 2010. Think it took nearly a year before i recieved the email saying i was unsuccessful. Good luck for today. Hope you get it. Will keep...

    FGW Recruitment Process

They do seem to be quite slow to respond most of the time. Ive had an application in the past where it showed 'awaiting shortlisting' for about 3 - 4 months and then an automated email top say the vacancy has been filled. I applied for this one mid January and was invited for the online tests...

    FGW Recruitment Process
