Had to break through unmanned barriers at Burgess hill tonight

In my fairly limited experience using rover & ranger tickets, the tickets will often let you out through gatelines but not back in, so needing to seek assistance from staff.

    Printer Ink

I use Just Ink & Paper for my Canon MG series printer - just had to order a combo pack of cartridges and saw it was two years ago since I bought the last lot!

    Gamertags

I just thought I'd start a thread for those who would like to share their Gamertags from whatever platform. My gamertag on Xbox Series S is DeejayH1972 & on Steam it is deejayholliday.

    Northerneers Survey Group

I've given up part way through on this survey. Pointless scrolling through all the "questions" before being able to respond. And I think it's a different company that has produced this survey.

Tees Valley Combined Authority planning to spend £1bn on various transport schemes

When I read the article I thought "What's a Trackless Tram? A Bus?". Now I'm wondering if it's a rehash of the mooted Tees Valley Metro system that never got off the ground.

A scam phone calls and emails discussion.

I actually work part time on Collections for Royal Mail, and at the same depot as the person who delivers to my address. I.ve recently had a couple of parcels delivered by them so know how RM usually operate if tracking is turned on / provided. I'm also usually very suspicious of any email /...

A scam phone calls and emails discussion.

I received the following text message this morning. They can't spell Royal Mail correctly and the url isn't the standard royalmail.com. Needless to say I haven't clicked on url, and reported as spam.

The attached screengrab shows the schedule for 2E01. There's a call at Gypsy Lane at 09:59 unless I'm misreading?

New Year's Day 2024 in the North East

I've just had a look on RTT (RealTime Trains) at the timetable for the 09:53 from Middlesbrough. You weren't kidding about limited stops! If I were to make use of this service and get the afternoon service back, then its a bus to & from town too as there's no stops at James Cook or Marton, but...

    New National Rail website

When I'm looking at Rovers & Rangers, I prefer to use the GB Rail Rover Guide website. One of the features I found useful on that site was that I could select a station and it would tell you what Rovers & Rangers are valid for that location. I found a really good value rover for the Glasgow area...

    Carlisle Station Improvements

Whenever I went spotting at Carlisle, there was always people in there. I enjoyed their bacon butties. As an aside I hope Avanti haven't increase the rent for the little TukTuk coffee vendor that was right next to the main exit.

    Carlisle Station Improvements

Has it definitely gone bust? According to their last Facebook post: I've bolded the relevant part - is that just a fancy way of saying they've gone bust or was there an issue with the lease?

    Remaining Effects of Covid

I stayed in a Travelodge in Ayr earlier in the year and they advised us during check in about room servicing. I too was somewhat amazed they weren't doing this routinely.

    Begging getting worse on trains?

In this particular instance I think the term is more "money laundering" than "scam". Scottish notes are apparently quite easy to forge, so once finished the scrotes then buy something really cheap like a Mars bar and then get the change in legit cash.
