TPE Nova 3 (Class 68 + Mk5s) updates and withdrawal from service

TfW have purchased the Mk4 stock and have enough vehicles to make all the sets 5 coaches + a DVT. And they have a Restaurant Car selling hot food - something the Mk5 sets don't have - just a trolley service.

TPE Nova 3 (Class 68 + Mk5s) updates and withdrawal from service

Every 5th carriage was Built with a Driving cab so the driver just changes ends and the sets run Push/Pull It is only a small section of the coach that is used for the cab - like an Emu. https://peter749.piwigo.com/picture?/41371/category/450-october_to_december_2019 Unlike the Chiltern sets...

The Weardale Railway: Bishop Auckland West to Stanhope

The term "Bubble Car" normally refers to a Single Unit DMU - Like a Class 121 or 122 or Iris from the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway

    Class 331 at Stoke-on-Trent

That is quite helpful Thanks Peter 1681758327 That is unusual as some platforms won't take more than 3 coaches.

Merseyrail legacy fleet updates (Class 507/508)

Is there a list on one of the pages showing which 507/508 units have been withdrawn? Or is it a case of looking thru all 17 pages of this thread? Thanks

    Transport for Wales 769's

Northern Fleet had a problem with the VCB causing all the units to be run on Diesel so that might have affected the numbers and reliability They seem to work ok on Electric but will do less on the south side from 11 Dec.

    December 2022 WTT's

To view train routings around the country for when I go out travelling - The PSUL is also very useful for working out interesting routings In the past the WTTs had more info than other than other sources And I don't have to pay for it as I have to watch the pennies now I'm retired Peter

    December 2022 WTT's

I wonder how they managed to leave out the Platform numbers at the stations? 1670159417 Thanks for the offer but I was mainly looking at Freight Workings around Manchester although they have not changed much. RTT does a good job of working out what goes where and it has Platform Numbers :)

    December 2022 WTT's

Why are the December WTT's so bad? For some reason the timetables are in Excel format - which is not too bad - but the amount of extra lines in the spreadsheets is silly. Every location has 4 or 5 lines for arr - but not every one is used pass - not required in the past as a train not...

    Transport for Wales 769's

A driver manager at Northern who I asked about why just running on Diesel said the 769s kept tripping the OHLE in Electric mode - even though the 319s don't suffer the problem - if the driver opens the throttle slowly. You wonder how the 319s have run for so long without any problems
  18. Peter749

    Class 319's into storage/withdrawals tracker

That seems to have changed as 2J95 and 2J96 do not run any more. Peter
