Appreciate that - though as it’s school holidays and tourist season, the general public won’t be too sympathetic to the finer details having reserved seats on high capacity services at high cost to end up standing on cramped DMU’s that aren’t fit for a 3 hour journey. Would a better option not...

It appears that the temporary timetables are only currently for Monday to Friday services - as it’s Thursday evening does that mean Scotrail are running a weekend service as timetabled? The communication seems very poor!

Have there been changes to the inter7city diagrams or have the reductions been made by just removing entire diagrams from the daily allocation? Given that Glasgow-Aberdeen is seeing a near 50% reduction in service at a busy time of the year, it is quite appalling that some of the services each...

Shame but I expect you’re right. Although the standard class azuma seating cant last much longer without at least replacing the foam pads - most are worn flat by now

The issue is that the direct route with no changes is quite important - both with ticket cost, journey time and reliability - scotrail is renowned for being unreliable with short notice cancellations or substituting a 2 car DMU with little luggage space in place of a 5 car HST short notice. LNER...

It’s being reported in the press today that unions are instructing drivers to boycott scotrail HST’s from August. I thought that scotrail had a working group with them that was progressing on addressing safety concerns?

Seemed to be a full HST service as planned between Edinburgh and Aberdeen today - perhaps this will be a better week for reliability. I note the bad press scotrail have been getting for running a short overcrowded DMU to Aberdeen after the rugby on Sunday night.

Yes - interesting that although they’re significantly short forming the majority of Aberdeen intercity services today, they only have two short-form alerts on the website and claim all others are running normally. I expect omitting vital information they hope keeps the press away from the issues
