Just been observing trains at LTV. 6 Pendolinos passed whilst I was there. All had the coupling cover retracted with the coupling gear on display. Is this unusual?

I read in Today's railways recently, latest issue in fact that NR have dispensed with the 31s. Colas 37s are a short termish hire until NR get sufficient numbers of their own rebuilt 73s

They occasionally run /2s on the TV services. More likely on a Sunday. I'm pretty sure They are still to limited to 100mph. When I'm on one they are usually a few minutes behind what they should be.

The 47s on the Goole Sand trains take over from 66s at Doncaster. Why is this? Is there a weight restriction on the Goole line?

Shame only a couple of Trent Valley services will be strengthened to 8 cars. I read LM are finding SDO too much of a hassle at certain stations. Trent valley services are always rammed when I travel on them.
