The Recalibrated Milepost Distance Charts are now complete for the Southern and South Eastern Divisions. The South Western Division is currently under development and shall be complete within a few days. Once that is done I do not envisage any expansion for a while. (I am also very close to running out of numbers in the pre-assigned 3xx range for the South East.)

If you have any suggestions or that there are routes which you think are missing, please let me know. It is obviously impossible to cover all existing scheduled journeys but my aim is that one should be able to work out the distance for a journey using no more than two distance charts.

Having spent quite some time on the tablet today updating my RailMiles after last weekend's London bash and the WMDR the week before that, I've now hit 11,302 miles for 2015 so far.

21st place on the table, I doubt I'm going to keep in the top 20 somehow!

Ive finally got round to updating my mileages for Quarter 2 April - June.

For April, although my quarterly meeting in London was moved forward to March due to Easter falling early this year and leading to a high mileage in March, I compensated for this by doing a Merseyrail bash. Also, the BNL - MTV journey plus cranking/shack scoring along the Rutherglen & Coatbridge Railway was not what I wanted to do in the circumstances, as I was going to and from a funeral of one of my former classmates from college.

In May, I did something that I do not normally strain myself with, which was the PSUL side of the triangle on the Sheffield Supertram, and easy to get due to the renovation works at the time. The Cheshire Day Ranger bash was a high mileage too at 769 miles.

June was relatively quiet, but I managed to do a Greater Manchester Wayfarer, which netted me 258 miles. As I had dipped into the budget for the Sheffield Supertram, I travelled to and from Manchester on the overnight bus, which explains the unusually low mileage. Furthermore, Abellio were doing a promotion on free tickets within Scotland, to commemorate their launch of the Scotrail franchise. My free ticket was from Glasgow to Aberdeen, which netted me 400 miles on that bashing trip.

Total mileage for Q2 is 2766. Add this to Q1, that brings the first half of the year to 7111.25 miles.

I will have some big mileages in Q3 and am currently working on updating the results for this section. In the meantime, I have posted a summary below of journeys made, with a via point if applicable. The first digit is the number of times that trip has occurred, the second digit is the number of miles, with the third digit being the product of the first and second digits.

I also need those Chiltern bits, funnily enough I was going to request them too!

Lord Kite, I can't view attachments in the app so I can't yet view the figures for the Borders Railway. I shall have a look when I get on the tablet next, probably tomorrow evening.

100,000 miles, however achieved, is quite the accomplishment in less than 12 months!

Lord Kite, thank you for the attachment, I've seen it now I'm on the tablet this morning, an update to ny RM will be in progress shortly now! :D

That's excellent, I just now need to figure out the bit from Haddenham to Bicester South.

Until I add the new bits, I'm on 11,571 miles for 2015 so far. Not much left to go until I clear my target of 12,000 but with very little left to go this year I probably won't get too far over that.

RTT gives Haddenham and Thame Parkway at 42m 7ch. That gives a difference to Bicester South of 11m 46ch.

Not sure how accurate that is but it's good enough for me! :)

That'll do for me too, let's get the figures updated then! Thanks for your help, hadn't considered checking RTT.

11,613 miles exactly now for 2015, which means I only need 387 miles to hit the 12,000 miles target. Tomorrow should see that got a lot closer to, and I have a decent bit of mileage on the way later this month. I think there's a good chance I'll hit 12,500 by 14th December.

EDIT: 18th in the table now, much more like it!

Below is my Quarter 3 mileage. As before, the first digit is the number of occurrences of that particular journey/bashing trip, the second digit is the number of miles, with the third digit being the total miles.

A Ticket to Ryde 1 1051 1051
BNL – BLA cranking 1 264.75 264.75

Q3 total mileage 5199.5

The biggest mileage to date is the Devon and Cornwall bashing trip, which netted me 1322 miles by starting and finishing in London. Outward via L&SWR metals, and returning via GWR metals via Bristol Parkway/Stoke Gifford on the Night Riviera. My journey down to London was a variation to normal, as I went via Lincoln Central and Sleaford between Newark Northgate and Peterborough.

The forum meet for the Monsal Trail walk and the Tyne & Tees Day Ranger netted me 506 and 635 miles respectively in August. The railtour to the Isle of Wight and doing some cranking locally between Barnhill and Blair Atholl netted me 1051 and 265 miles respectively.

In total, this takes me up to the year's total of 12911 miles to the end of September. For the final quarter, I will have some big mileages in October, but will start to tail off in November, with the only 2 big mileages for December will be a return trip to London for a meeting, and to the West Midlands for the Christmas break to visit my mum.

I'm now up to 12,629 miles and 46 chains, which (for now) puts me in 18th place. This month is looking very good for mileage, although it won't be as good as my best month (September).

I've not done an update since end of August due to being very busy having turned into a full time jobseeker!

September totalled 1283 miles, a little under 700 of those were 2 visits to family - no bashes outside of London.

October afforded me one opportunity for one proper day out on a northern rail day ticket which totalled around 670 miles out of a total of 1478 for October taking me to a grand total of 21629 for the year.

Although I've now secured employment, I don't get paid until December, so my November mileage might just be the total of the daily commute, but time permitting I may get another bash in in December, hopefully I will achieve target of 24000 for the year.

It'll be touch and go if I can finish in the top 10, but that's the aim

Congratulations on getting a new job, not at all easy for anyone anywhere! I did wonder where you'd been, next year will hopefully be better for you!

I really could do with a bash again myself, thankfully next Friday is not far away!

Not posted for a while. Currently sat on 10197 miles 38 chains. Got a direct Canary Wharf to Gallions Reach DLR train earlier :D (There are at least two, 1926 and 1941 from Canary Wharf, having started at Lewisham).

Cheers Tech, job hunting sure can be tough, but get it right and you get the rewards for it.

I really want to do another proper bash, but realistically its not going to be this year due to time/cash constraints.
The upside is that by then I'll have a Priv card to cut some travel costs down on future trips.
