Departed newstreet on time. How ever it seems that the crew are talking banta and chatting to each other and not paying attantion to there custermurs. For this crew i would be willing to give them a 6/10 overall as they started of strong and fast but its fallen apart now

I hope you’ve got a lunch stop planned in at some point. It is incredibly unlikely you will be fed anywhere the Coventry to Wolves corridor.

Update: had to alight train #4 at birmingham new street due a staff member being extremely rude and another passenger calling me a T**T i am planning to catch the 10:50 AWC service to get me back on schedule.

Train crew on train #5 really plesant shortly before int'll offerd me a T and some breakfast. Cabin is very presentable and clean. For the staff to run this type of service on a train nearly 1hr behind gets an automatic 11/10 from me.

I saw this train at New Street whelst waiting to depart on the 10:50, have you found the service better on Pendolino's or Voyager's as I always seem to get better service on Pendolino's but I am not sure why?

It depends on wich day you travel. For weekend first class travel i would say the 221 SV but for weekday the pendoleno for sure

Reminds me of when I tried to make 2 VTWC dinner services on the same evening. Round trip from EUS to Stafford and back.

Though you're done for the day, it'd be nice to read a short reflection on your adventures. Only after you've had a rest and a bite to eat! :)

Sorry to hear that.

While I wish you all the luck and joy in your future adventures, please bear in mind that TOC management do read this forum and there is a risk of attracting attention with real-time updates. Not to dissuade you from going on future trips nor any excuse to mistreat you, but you need to be aware of the heightened likelihood you may be recognised, in a good way or a bad way.

I am very impressed with your earlier decision to retreat in the face of poor treatment. IMO that is the clever thing to do and not allowing a silly argument to spoil the rest of your day.

In future trips, make sure you take plenty of fluids with you and at least some light snacks, just for unforeseen circumstances, eg. lounges running out of food, severe disruption, stranding, etc, and always have a back-up plan to get home.

Enjoy your travels.
