There is nothing in the small print about not valid on sleeper trains but other industry sources say you can't use them ?

Just checked on National Rail Enquires: 2 adult seated sleeper tickets, Dundee to Euston, a week on Sunday: £278 without railcard, £183 with. So it would appear that the card is valid on the Caledonian Sleeper at least. What it probably doesn't get you is any discount on the berth supplement.

The Two Together website specifically states that it is valid on Sleeper services if you board before 0430.

And there's not much point boarding a sleeper after 0430!

Seated passengers are conveyed between Edinburgh and Fort William. Ordinary (Super) Off-Peak Return tickets are valid for seated travel on the Caledonian Sleepers and you can get a Two Together Railcard discount for these. You can't get the discount on dedicated Caledonian Sleeper tickets.

You can, however, get the seated ticket (with the railcard discount) and then pay the supplement on top which should still work out cheaper.

I was under the impression that the Edinburgh to Fort William service was technically not a sleeper, but was classed as a day service instead.

Yes, it's a day service between those two points, only with sleeper stock and sleeper carriages

None that I'm aware of. The early morning calls are set-down only.
