2014 fares

If the NRE website gives a fare for a journey on a particular date, is that bound to be the case, if there will be a fares revision in the meantime? All North Berwick-Edinburgh fares on (for example) 15 January are shown as the same as the current ones, which seems to say clearly that there will be no change, which would be good news. Today's conductor claimed to know nothing of the new fares, which is why I checked the NRE site.

There will be fare increases, however if you buy your tickets before the fares change then you still get them at the lower price.

In short, the fare changes only apply to the date of purchase, not the date of travel.
