222101 apparently arrived at Derby Etches Park from Crofton at 22:45 last night.

222102 will apparently follow on Wednesday arriving at about 20:00.

Considering fHT have had to hire 180104 from FGW again today I would doubt they are ready to release their 222's.

How many 180s do FHT have?

4. 2 are in for refurbishment so perhaps one of these is now ready? Also 180111 has been out of use since November according to this photo - http://andrew-chambers.fotopic.net/p56034878.html
Maybe the arrival of that coach back means that Hull Trains now have enough 180s.
They had to hire 180104 from FGW because 180110 broke down along with a Pioneer.

Edit: Numbers they have are 180110, 180111, 180113, 180114.

Should be interesting to see a) EMT spoil the Pioneers, which in my opinion have a very nice livery, by repainting them into house colours and b) the refurbed 180s, which I will definitely be riding on once they've proved themselves to be reliable.

It's good to see this is finally happening! Will the Pioneers now be referred to as Meridians then?

Aye More Dinki Toys for EMT...Don't Send Them to Nottingham !

Question:-

What is the condition of the Meridians like since EMT took over ie.. are they kept as clean and tidy as they where with MML ?

Short answer...Yes. Of course they are starting to show signs of wear now the 5 cars have been in service for 5 years (May 04 the first one). I think you can tell a difference between the 5 and 7 car Meridians as the 7 car Meridians have only been in service 3 years (March 06 the first one) as they sat un-used for over a year.

Also I think there is a 222003 / 222023 hybrid running about. 222023 today had a small number 2 stuck over a number between the 0 and 3 and the only other Meridian that ends in 3 and has that kind of paint job on the front is 222003.

222101 still hasn't shown up....

Hmm thought it might be too good to be true.

"Paul:
222101 will enter Litchurch Lane Works on Friday for painting and 222102 will enter works on 06/02 for painting"

A comment from my site - by a different person. Something must be going off then.

To be honest, until we see refurbished 180s released and on their way to Hull Trains, I can't see this happening. I'll be sad to see the Pioneers go - they have revolutionised rail travel out of Hull, and have made Hull-London travel a pleasure as opposed to a chore (as it once was when you had to endure the stopper to Doncaster!). I hope the 180 refurbishment is to a good standard. The details released seem to have been very sketchy!

Any news? I think it is going to happen some time this week. Two people can't be wrong, unless someone is having people on.

*cough cough*

By the way, it's not me and I am not involved (and neither is anyone I am associated with, professionally or personally). All I will say is that the resulting foam party is probably funny to someone reading this forum. Next they will send you some times for 5Z22 or something on a test run between Corby and London with  Oh and a start date for the Corby services

EDIT DONE 15 hours later. Original post above.

Sometimes we just get it wrong

It surprises me EMT haven't mentioned anything about it. Surely something would have been mentioned on either EMTs or HTs side by now!

222101 arrived at 2245 at Etches Park.

222102 will be there for around 2000 on Wednesday.

I, like many other people here, was very sceptical about this - do you have a source?

Otherwise I too may well be eating humble pie.

Max - how about a bloody TRUST machine and an email from NWR TPC with the move booked on it.

Gordon Brown unable to countersign my message due to being busy.

It was announced on EMTs web site or some where a while ago that the deal was as good as done as they had shaken hands on it.

But they may not announce any thing until all three are there and the Corby Service is launched and until they are all painted.

TOCs are very secretive these days they only tell you what they want to tell you !

Thanks FBT. I was the original poster on 222001's website and I don't think I'll bother again if it's going to be like the gestapo every time!

You have a PM. My apologies for showing so much doubt. It's proof that we do all get it wrong sometimes.

And on WNXX:

Simon said:
180109+110 along with 222102+104 were shown as out yesterday for HT.

222101 showing at Derby as of yesterday evening...
