The first second-gen ADL E400EV (not including demonstrators) has been delivered to Stagecoach Oxfordshire as SK24 XRC, originally intended to be SK73 CZF. Pictures linked from Oxford & Chilterns issue 291.

I really have to say... What an utter load of rubbish... Like a child's drawing of a "rocket bus" made flesh... I think we have really lost our way with design in this country (not sure what the rest of the world is doing but hopefully not copying us )

Can't disagree, that back end is absolutely awful! It seems that bus manufacturers are going for fashion over function, despite not having a clue how to 'do' fashion!

The whole thing looks like different bits have been designed by people who have never met, then just stuck all their designs together.

Free the Coo (trading as The Hairy Coo tours) seem to have gained a few new Yutongs, named as per usual for them. Freya is SG24 UHZ, I saw Amber but didn't get it's reg plate.

What an ugly bus. The back looks out of proportion from top to bottom & the front looks poor. The livery of the bus doesn’t make it look good either.

I actually like the livery, especially how they have managed to 'Stagecoach' it yet keep the uniform image with Oxford Bus.

I'll bet you though that if a child actually built it, it would stand a much better chance of not rattling and falling to pieces as this one inevitably will after about the first, 30 seconds maybe

Apologies if this is considered off-topic for this thread.

As part of a large investment in electric vehicles, Go-Ahead are in the course of receiving 8 Wright StreetDecks for the Oxford City Sightseeing tour. In January, The Oxford and Chilterns Bus Page reported these would be 190 - 197 (BJ73 WVW-Z, BJ73 WWA-D). All are now showing on the DVLA site, 190-2 with 'tax due: 1 February, 2025", but 193-7 as 'tax due: 1 March, 2025'). Doesn't that imply that 193-7 were first taxed on or after 1/3/24 - so should they not have received '24' registrations?

It would be worth clarifying these are for East Midlands Airport so are dual-door with luggage racks.

I quite like the livery too, and looks so much better than the 2020 awful corporate livery which could have been used for electric buses as with Scotland operating companies.

East Lancs visually impaired design monkey of the 1980's presumably didn't retire and now works for ADL then.......... The new Enviro 400 MMC redesign is an absolute masterclass in taking something that looked good, and worked perfectly, wasn't broken and completely screwing it up!
