If anyone needs to add this one, as of 45 minutes ago (17:55) it was on a low loader parked on the verge under M25 Jn 17. I had to go round and look at it again as I didnt register it as a locomotive at first but something out of the corner of my eye registered as odd

Its in BR blue and named Sir William A.Stanier FRS - which also came as a surprise as I thought 101 was called Stephenson

it is on its way back home to Willesden after use as an ice Maiden at Carlisle over the winter.

It needs a trip over the lathe from all accounts hence the low loader.

Will they bother with the lathe now that the 86 is withdrawn, unlikely to run under its own power again ?

On a train somewhere in Europe
86101 looked as though it was in the HRD at Wembley (where the lathe is) this morning so it might be down for a visit; however, that is also one of the few places that something can be placed on or off a low loader in the area.....

Ha ha. The lathe is of no use.

It's at the HRD as that is where the loading/unloading pad is.
