Morning!

Not sure if I'm reading too much into this (I am though...)

I have the following "application status history" in my account:
  • Application Under Review 15-Oct-2018 09:36:28
  • Application Accepted 16-Oct-2018 07:03:50
  • Application Under Consideration 16-Oct-2018 10:02:22
  • Invited to Test 16-Oct-2018 11:00:33
  • Test Completed 16-Oct-2018 21:39:03
  • Test Completed 17-Oct-2018 14:32:11
  • Application under consideration for assessment 2 01-Nov-2018 14:16:33
  • Application Under Consideration 01-Nov-2018 14:26:20
It appears that those who have been successful in the past, have the last two in a reverse order "Application Under Consideration" THEN "Application under consideration for assessment 2" THEN it would be "Invite to Assessment 2 Pending"

Mine has been in a different order to those in previous posts? It appears that whatever has happened, it's taken them 10 minutes(ish) to make that decision on my job account (judging by the times).

I know that I'm 100% reading too much into this; but I'm so looking forward to hearing back on a decision - I am very keen to explore a potential new career and learn exciting new skills!

Regards.

@VX220 Good to hear from you again - Good luck; hope it goes well for both of us.

Is this for Carmarthen or Cardiff?

The wait is killing me!

That's for my Carmarthen application. The updates appear to be automated as the times are almost the same between our apps.

After a bit of advice, applied for a grade 8 position wasn't expecting much as in my opinion struggled a bit with online tests and got the old "not reached the required standard" back.
Set my sights a bit lower Grade 3 and 4 jobs and not had to take the online tests and still got "not reached the required standard".
Is this how it works, will they just use my first test results all the time as I would love the opportunity to take the test again now I have got my head round them

@VX220 Check your account, have you had a second "Application Under Consideration for Assessment 2"?

I have - 17:29 ISH today.

I found this on another forum online - it makes for an interesting comparison of the timeline between signaller and air traffic controller vacancies

Day 1: Apply to NATS as an ATCO, Pass Stage 0, Invitation to Stage 1
Day 4: Pass Stage 1
Day 6: Invitation to Stage 2, Booked onto Stage 2
Day 22: Stage 2 Assessment (in CTC)
Day 27: Confirmation of passing Stage 2 Assessment
Day 28: Invitation to Stage 3 Assessment
Day 33: Booked onto Stage 3 Assessment
Day 39: Stage 3 Assessment
Day 74: Confirmation of passing Stage 3 Assessment
Day 79: Offered Medical Appointment
Day 172: Initiation of Security Vetting
Day 194: Confirmation of Start Date
Day 256: Medical Appointment
Day 297: Start Date!!!

They were quick. I went for atc. Took me 8 months to get to interview.

A mate took 5 years to get his start date!

Application is currently sat at "Application Under Consideration for Assessment 2" - received an email this morning to say that it was currently in the hands of the Hiring Manager.

Received an email this morning that said ''We are writing to confirm that unfortunately your application for the above role has been
withdrawn for the following reason:
Network Rail have had to withdraw this vacancy."

I've not heard this one before, nevermind eh

Just keep an eye on it. It may have been a mistake and someone clicked the wrong thing.

I applied for a box. Got to "under consideration for assesment 2" a couple of weeks later it was withdrawn. Emailed HR who just said no longer required. A week later it went back under consideration, a few days after that I got invited to an interview, and I'll be starting signalling school in the new year .

Oh, cheers for that! I have emailed them asking them if they can provide any more information. I'll see if anything comes of it. It's interesting because normally I expect it to go to application unsuccessful after 'Application under consideration for assessment 2', but this time it went to 'Application Withdrawn'. It was the role listed as 'Signaller x 2 - Hereford and Shropshire' by the way mate!

You want to put in for the Marsh Brook job, that's effectively what that vacancy was for.

Your test results are normally valid for 12 months so any subsequent applications within that time you shouldn't be asked to take the tests again as they use your previous scores. You can however ask for them to be reset after 6 months and they will send you a link to complete them again before your next application. This is what I have done. Although I haven't founds any suitable positions to apply for I do feel I performed better as I knew what was coming.
Don't be disheartened by the unsuccessful applications, it's probably just that on those occasions other people scored higher.

I had that many years ago for Moreton in Marsh, advertised as a grade 3 then withdrawn and readvertised for a grade 2 due to the docuble track being extended towards Worcester.

To throw more confusion into it...

Mines updates from "assessment 2 completed" to "assigned to new vacancy" which inturn shows up in my portal as "assessment 2 completed".

Think I'll need to give them a ring in the morning!

It means you’ve been provisionally offered a job subject to medical, assigned to new vacancy means they’ve got you assigned to the post.
