Advance tickets through London?

Hi

I've found a Leicester-Bedwyn Advance single on national rail for £17.80, which tells me to use the tube between St Pancras and Paddington. Will the advance ticket cover the tube travel? Do I just show it to the staff at the barriers on the underground stations?
