Hi, I was doing a search for non-passenger services that go through my local station, Airbles, and noted 375E which starts and terminates at Slateford Depot but appears to cover a huge amount of track, across to Glasgow then south to Ayr and returning to Slateford some 10/11 hours later.

Could anyone advise what this is? Is it freight or track inspection or something else? Perhaps I could find out by the codes but I am not too familiar with the codes used, so sorry if it is very obvious;)

To respond to your last point first, 375E means very little :) . All but the first character are randomly generated for public consumption. It'll be a railhead treatment train anyway!
