I was travelling on the East London line today and thought I'd take the opportunity to check out some of the enhancements I'd heard LO had recently made to their ticket vending machines, specifically ranger and rover sales.

It's really commendable that they've introduced this option before any other TOC, even though the range is quite small and seems to only include rovers with some validity in the London area. But it seems that some of the validity details in the fares database still need a bit of "proof reading"; see attached from Shoreditch High Street TVM!

I wonder if Dave is a member here?

Or will he email everyone who purchases the ticket?

Here's a quote of the restriction text for the benefit of our blind members and mobile users:

If he's a pricing manager (or similar), he will at least be a lurker if not a full member. ;)
Maybe he's still on the train.;)

I'm happy to suggest something ;)

Many thanks to Indigo2 for posting; as a software engineer myself it's put a smile on my face. I wonder how many more text strings not intended for public consumption have made it into formal software releases?!

As a software developer too, I would imagine quite a lot!
In terms of my job as a mainly web based developer, I have seen quite a few lorem ipsum's on live sites which always brings a smile (unless I'm the cause of it!!).

One favourite of mine is that Linux, and other Unix-like systems (so maybe Mac OS as well) will sometimes report that a printer is on fire! (Though that one was deliberately intended to cause alarm, see the link for why - and perhaps the best Wikipedia "citation needed" tag you'll see :))
