Does it matter?
Theyre redoing it? When? Might have to go for a weekend in Glasgow then...Apparently it's intended to be used in the re-run of the failed 2021 record run later this year.
I'd imagine 390016 will be used at the event again. The big question is "Will the Pendolino that is 390200 at the event be the same one as attended the press launch? Will a freshly painted one be used instead?
37200 was scrapped, under the guise of 37377, at Booths in late 2009.There’s been an 08200 and a 37200 but not sure if either still exist.
Yes:Theyre redoing it? When? Might have to go for a weekend in Glasgow then...
I was thinking that. Thought the conversation had gone to subclass/unit numbers.D200 then.
Yes possibly if it actually breaks the record it’ll be worth giving it some TLC for the exhibition & legacy purposes.Does it matter?
The attempt planned for next Tuesday has now been postponed until September.Apparently it's intended to be used in the re-run of the failed 2021 record run later this year.
Thanks for the updateThe attempt planned for next Tuesday has now been postponed until September.
No problem. Just noticed it was announced by The Scotsman. Couldn’t find any other mention of it on this Forum surprisingly. Thanks for the update
There are signalling issues at Camden causing more than 2 min delay to northbound fast line trains. The Carstairs TSR in 2021 cost 1.5 mins and was a factor in the record attempt being missed by 21 seconds. So a no brainer to postpone until the Camden issue is sorted - which seems to be eluding NR at the moment. Thanks for the update
Very true, though September seems a potentially bad choice if true - isn't it getting on for leaf fall season? There are signalling issues at Camden causing more than 2 min delay to northbound fast line trains. Summer will bring risk of heat related temperatures and sagging OLE. There is no perfect date. But until Camden is sorted - been an issue for 5 weeks now - then it seems they don't expect it to be resolved anytime soon. September will be here before we know it.Very true, though September seems a potentially bad choice if true - isn't it getting on for leaf fall season?
Fair enough, I take the point about 'no perfect date' - ultimately even with the best planning anything could still spoil a run.Summer will bring risk of heat related temperatures and sagging OLE. Leaf fall not too bad in September.Very true, though September seems a potentially bad choice if true - isn't it getting on for leaf fall season?
Which shows what a pointless PR stunt it is. Did anybody even know it was scheduled for next Tuesday? No problem. Just noticed it was announced by The Scotsman. Couldn’t find any other mention of it on this Forum surprisingly.
Presumably they’d have done the PR fanfare after the run - assuming it was successful?Which shows what a pointless PR stunt it is. Did anybody even know it was scheduled for next Tuesday?
Yeah plenty I thought. Just not on here it seemsWhich shows what a pointless PR stunt it is. Did anybody even know it was scheduled for next Tuesday?
