Does any know if the boxes practice questions on the pdf come up in the assessment for VSE? I just don't get the task.
The one with letters? Yes it does.

You look at the two columns of letters in the box. If both columns contain exactly the same letters you say it’s correct. It doesn’t matter what order the letters are in.

The letters was straight forward but the box ones were a bit confusing. Thats great if they are not in the assessment phew!

I just seen on the news Avanti have been given a 6 month extension to their contract despite constant failures.

On another note, has anyone heard from Edinburgh or Glasgow?
I’ve not heard for polmadie yet either way. Waiting with baited breath

Hi, I'm sure the question stated " drivers personal equipment " which would put it down the priority list. wouldn't worry about the odd question though.

Admittedly struggled with the VSE on Part 3. Got far too many symbols questions wrong for my own liking. Think the train on track portion I managed to do relatively well however.

Soon find out.

Rejection from Edinburgh for sifting stage. Good luck to all those going forward.
Please do what I would have done if I had got through to VSE, and get ChatGPT to build you a practise one ;)

You have to match symbols and declare whether the highlighted ones are a correct or incorrect match.

Doing it on its own I was fine with but combined with the exercise from Part 1 I struggled.

Has anyone had a rejection email for Liverpool?
I haven't heard anything yet and it's killing me. I'm pretty much convinced that I haven't passed but you never know!

Thank Mate. Is there any other study material out there for VSE?

They haven't got to Liverpool yet. Working up through the depots, Wolves have started to hear back. Nothing for the North or Scotland yet

I applied to Liverpool and received my email for the next stage on Friday. I don't think it means anything either way as we don't know how they work through them. No news is still good news

I could have sworn someone who’d applied for Liverpool had posted on here to say they’re through to the next stage.. maybe I’m wrong!

While there is definitely no real system to the way they send out these emails, I wouldn't blame someone for thinking there was. Back in the October recruitment drive it seemed based on forum posts that Manchester depots began getting sorted first, then Euston, then Liverpool. Here it seems like there basically is no system and is basically random as far as we're all concerned. All I'll say is that for anyone still waiting for results, no news isn't bad news, so don't consider it over until you've basically been told it's over.

I think I've been forgotten! At this stage I'd be happy just to know it's a 'No Chance' as opposed to all this waiting!

I applied for Liverpool and I haven’t heard anything back yet either, just to make those that are waiting feel a bit better :)

My apologies, must have missed that post.

But yes, you're in it until the OPC say otherwise. Patience and perseverance are a prerequisite for applying for any railway role. Took me nearly 18 months from application to start date as a conductor

Just did VSE, made a 4/5 errors on part 3 when we have to do both tasks at the same time. Did anyone else find it difficult aswell?
