Nope, not heard a thing yet!

I applied to Manchester and Liverpool. I thought waiting over the weekend was torture, but 28 days?!!!!

Thankfully I'm a lot calmer than I was, kind of just accepted that what will be, will be

Could I just ask a question? Those of you who applied for two depots, did you get two invites for the OPC 5 tests or just one? Tia.

I received two for my Liverpool and Manchester application. Both the same login so one set of tests. Still not heard back from the first assessment round

Any Manchester applicants heard back yet about first OPC test results? Completed mine on 12/3 deadline was the 13th.

Seems daft having different deadlines for different depots when their responses are all over the place, time is clearly not of the essence lol

Why do I feel like this is just a polite way of saying "you're out!"

Nah. I work for a TOC with people who would know all the ‘right’ answers and none of us have heard back. It’s easier to just tell people they’re out than to keep them waiting. Stay hopeful!

Yeah, I wondered about this because it'd mean that those with two invites essentially get two chances as opposed to just one! So just doing the one test makes sense.

Firstly, thank you for your recent application and interest with Avanti and the role of trainee train driver. Due to the sheer number of applications that we have received, it is taking us a little while to review and process all applicants. I’m therefore letting you know that it may take us up to 28 days to inform you of the results of your initial application.

I haven’t even got this email. Haven’t heard anything from the initial 5 tests for Manchester. No news is good news.. I hope!

I’m unsure tbh - to my understanding, nobody has received M7 and VSE for Polmadie

It's so much nicer here now that all the Smart Alecs have gone back to their talent pool thread. They were in the same boat as us a year ago, how quickly they forget.

Anyway, here's hoping we hear back soon!
