Has any work started on the build on the Hitachi units for Avanti?
Yes, there are some pics of bodyshells going around:Has any work started on the build on the Hitachi units for Avanti?
Providing they fit between signals ( if bio directional platform) , length won’t be a problem as they have very good automated SDO .Thanks for that 10-car working for the 805s between Wolves and Rugby might be a squeeze at some stations as there 26m vehicles

It works very well on GWR .
I don't think it will be to much of an issue as a 11 car 390 is around 253m (23x11) with 260m for 10 car 805.Thanks for that 10-car working for the 805s between Wolves and Rugby might be a squeeze at some stations as there 26m vehicles
They will also (if they copy Voyager workings) be going to Holyhead, which I don't think has ever seen 11-car 390s.I don't think it will be to much of an issue as a 11 car 390 is around 253m (23x11) with 260m for 10 car 805.
I think the last 390s to Holyhead were 2012, so I'd imagine it only ever saw 9s.They will also (if they copy Voyager workings) be going to Holyhead, which I don't think has ever seen 11-car 390s.
An 11-car 390 is actually about 265m as the intermediate cars are almost 24m and the driving cars just over 25mI don't think it will be to much of an issue as a 11 car 390 is around 253m (23x11) with 260m for 10 car 805.
I don't think it will be too much of an issue with the NWC to Holyhead if they used Platform 1 but I think some intermediate stations will probably have short platforms if a 10 car is used. They will also (if they copy Voyager workings) be going to Holyhead, which I don't think has ever seen 11-car 390s.

11 car 390s were dragged to Holyheas.I think the last 390s to Holyhead were 2012, so I'd imagine it only ever saw 9s.

Have Avanti published a seating plan for these yet?
Thought it was perhaps too early for those - evidently not. Cheers11 car 390s were dragged to Holyheas.
Probably not too dissimilar to the 80x in service in a general sense but the First/Standard split is probably the most likely thing to vary from existing fleets.Have Avanti published a seating plan for these yet?
