Just wondering if the Off-Peak Day Return from BDW to Chippenham is valid via RDg and WSB/BTH?

The 'via' option on any good journey planner will tell you.

I've not even found a CDR. But the train booking sites seem to accept it as a valid routing for "Not London" tickets.

Agreed. There is no Off-Peak Day Return Bedwyn - Chippenham. The £31.80 Super Off-Peak Return is the cheapest through return fare. (Splitting into a number of Off-Peak Day Returns may be cheaper.) It is valid:

MONDAYS TO FRIDAYS (by any train on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays).

TOWARDS LONDON
Available on the following trains and all later services:
From:
Westbury________________1003
Chippenham______________1010

FROM LONDON
Valid on services departing London Paddington or London Waterloo between 1010 and 1501 , or after 1900 (departing Reading, heading west (i.e. services passing through Didcot Parkway, Oxford or Newbury ONLY) between 1030 and 1530, or after 1900).

SUPER-OFF-PEAK TICKETS FROM STATIONS NOT LISTED ARE VALID FOR CONNECTIONS INTO THE ABOVE TRAINS.

The shortest route is via Westbury, so that is Permitted.

Routeing Points for Bedwyn are Reading Group and Westbury Group.

Fares check:
Bedwyn - Chippenham route Not London SVS £22.00, SOS £48.00
Reading - Chippenham route Not London SVS £22.00, SOS £41.50
Westbury - Chippenham route Not London SDS £7.50

Therefore both Reading and Westbury are appropriste RPs for this journey. So it is permitted to go from Bedwyn to either Reading or Westbury, then by any mapped route to Chippenham.
