If you visited the pub I dare say you would say the same things. Or perhaps check the reports on Trip Advisor!Doesn’t it just?
I wonder if Angela1966 might have something to share with the class..?
(And I don’t mean delicious hot porky pies)
I’ll do that.If you visited the pub I dare say you would say the same things. Or perhaps check the reports on Trip Advisor!
Sounds cozy!I’ll do that.
Perhaps we could have dinner together?
It’ll have to be quite a big table to fit all of us though, what with the four of you, and your two wives that you were married to at the same time...
Just wait until we add Tim, Tom, Tilly and Florence...Sounds cozy!
Is there an actual term for staging your own internet death and then reading the heartfelt messages as they poured in from people that were genuinely upset to hear the news?Just wait until we add Tim, Tom, Tilly and Florence...

I stopped spotting around 1962/3 (about 14yrs old) a wonderful time when you would see such a variety as steam gave way to diesel: main line express locos working suburban routes (Mallard, Deltic 1 etc.) & still fast steam hauled goods.
Can someone explain the attraction of spotting identical EMUs & DMUs? are they interesting or have I missed something?
If you never saw steam then you probably would be happy with other locos. If you never saw many loco hauled trains you would be happy with Multiple Units. I started on Southern SE division circa 1974 so the odd 33, 71 or 73 was a highlight.I think it's the collecting rather than the glamour, I reckon. I have similar feelings, but still enjoy ticking things off (for haulage/travel rather than spotting in my case). Others will have their own motivation. And some people probably think modern units are interesting.
