None as far as I'm aware. Only orders are to cover Intercity routes on Great Western & East Coast.

I think the 158s can carry on a while yet, and tri-mode 159 replacements (dual voltage electric + diesel) seem unlikely.

There are no plans at the moment, but they could conceivably form part of the winning bids for the next Northern and TransPennine franchises - we'll have to wait and see.

The SNCF are running a successful Bi-mode design built by Bombardier but from what I understand its heavier than the class 185's!

How heavy are the new Hitachi 300 bi-modes by comparison. Anyone know?
