Upper Crust at Bristol Parkway is 10%. I reckon some places are quicker at updating the tills than others.

I got 15% in Pumpkin in Dover this week... are they just picking the discounts at random? I've seen 10 and 20 mentioned, now 15.

Local managers updating the tills, with some refusing at all (or being on holiday, with no one who knows how to programme the till about) and some only partially complying, as they realise a 12.5% increase without notice wouldn't go down very well?
(all the above is speculation)

Last time I was in Dover Pumpkin (admittedly a number of months ago), the staff seemed quite friendly and I would imagine, as above, that they don't want to annoy people with the official price increase. Maybe they have negotiated to have this discount level for a while.

I heard on the radio this evening that SSP are planning to float on the stock exchange, and that they will be valued about the same level as Greene King and Stagecoach.

I can well believe the value when you look at the profit margins. Sure, Network Rail probably take a fair chunk, but it must still leave plenty of room to rake it in.

Liverpool and Birmingham airports will sell you a Budweiser with your meal as an additional charge in place of the soft drink at Burger King, fairly sure I've seen it elsewhere too.

Didn't know the snobs in Leamington had changed their Pumpkin loyalty card. Seems all outlets anywhere will change or stop their coffee collector cards without warning, Wetherspoon did and so I rarely buy one there now. Shame as the Lavazza coffee was reasonable!

Spoons did discontinue ther coffee loyalty card and, as I recall, reduced the price at the same time....

I note in the Times that SSP is currently up for flotation on the stock market. I wonder if a reduction in the discount is part of the fattening up process for potential shareholders ?

I know he has big teeth, but I doubt Suarez managed to get 20% off his Italian.

Discount has been reduced to 10% now...

And Pumpkin 'loyalty' cards now require 9 hot drinks to be purchased before you get a free one. Given the poor service I've received in a few of their locations lately, I think I'll be transferring my custom to other outlets with better quality coffee.

I know it means nothing to their overall business, but at least I'll get a good cup of coffee :)

Yes, I finally got the "BITE is changing..." email today, which stated that it goes down to 10% on October 1st.

Yeah I got the email today stating that the discount will be 10% but the discount at pubs on the station in which the BITE card is valid will remain at 20% discount

Still getting 20% in Derby, but interestingly the card was refused point blank in York on Sunday, despite the Bite advert being clearly visible on the counter "because every time anyone uses one it crashes the till".
I confess that I was then very naughty, refused their coffee and went round to Costa who happily took my loyalty card.

Not seen said email yet, if it even comes through, but 10% off instead of 20% is going to suck :( Maybe I will be taking my business to Costa instead after all

Lots of less than gruntled passengers at York P9 the other day discovering that they couldn't get their loyalty card stamped AND have the Bite discount because "they'd be getting the discount twice"

SSP were on to a good thing with a relatively captive audience. They've lost the plot and got greedy. Good bye custom.

I'm still getting 20% off everywhere.

Used my bite card at the York BK without any problems about two weeks ago.

I also found out the other day I could use it at the KFC at Leeds, I have just got in the habit of asking every station outlet if they take it now.

Yes, I was told by one outlet that some card holders were getting ten percent whilst others were still getting the full twenty. A recipy for angry customers.
