With regards to this service, First Class at seat service was only available until just outside Carlisle then it ceased as the onboard staff disembarked at Carlisle and appeared to be Carlisle based
That can't be right, there should be at least two members of staff right through to Glasgow

Different if it was the 19:00 FTPE service, catering ceases at 19:00

That can't be right

There isn't any fixed schedule as such which states that you will definately have x amount of staff in First Class between this point and that point.

It's all based on whether VT can supply the staff, and obviously whether there's demand for it.

I've travelled on the 20:30 Euston to Preston twice recently. The first time I joined at Tamworth, and found there to be just one CSA in First, despite there being a surprisingly large number of pax in FC.

The second time I joined at Euston a few weeks later, with only one or two other fellow passengers in my carriage, with at least 2, more likely 3 CSAs (can't remember) in First Class.

On weekdays there should an at-seat service throughout the journey, there are no posted timing restrictions
Therefore if the staff member does not travel north of Carlisle, then complain

The 04:25 Glasgow - Euston is similar, there is NO host until Carlisle unless there are reservations the night before
I found that out by chance...
That passenger also advised me the host boarded at Carlisle, I suggested they complain, to which they received an apology and £10 voucher
