If I buy a return from Blackfriars to Sevenoaks, do I have to complete the entire journey ?

I plan to join a group on a walk from Eynsford to Sevenoaks. However if I'm not
able to complete the walk all the way to Sevenoaks then I may need to get a train back to Blackfriars (from Bat & Ball, Otford or Shoreham) before Sevenoaks.

It's fine.

:D Thank You for your reply

The reason for asking is because, according to brfares,
http://http://www.brfares.com/#!fares?orig=0072&dest=SEV

the Anytime day return fares are all £8, but Off Peak Return fares:-

Boundary Zone 6 to Sevenoaks = £4.70

Boundary Zone 6 to Eynsford = £4.50
Boundary Zone 6 to Shoreham = £5.20
Boundary Zone 6 to Otford = £5.90
Boundary Zone 6 to Bat & Ball = £5.40

So wiil I definitely be OK to buy an off peak day return ticket to Sevenoaks and use it for the intermediate stations (?)

(The Anytime day return fares to Eynsford is £7.90)

Note that the ticket may not operate the barriers when starting/finishing short but this doesn't affect validity - just ask to be let out through the manual gate.

There might also be some poorly staff who might claim it's not valid but they are incorrect.
