According to an email I received at the start of December, they were no longer doing tickets via payzone and would stop using paypoint from next year.

I sent the following message using the Metrobus website. -

I noticed that https://travelwest.info/metrobus/metrobus-prices-validity-and-how-to-buy states "PayPoint stores
You can purchase tickets for travel on metrobus using cash at locations all across the region. Please note this option will no longer be available from 1st January 2023."
From 1 January 2023 onwards, what options will there be for Metrobus customers who need to buy tickets using cash?

I have now received the following reply. My message started by mentioning "PayPoint" but the reply starts by mentioning "payzone". I don't know if the Metrobus staff member has misread my message or if this is a deliberate reply to my message. -

Thank you for your query with regards to the ability to purchase bus tickets at payzone – we are in discussion with the metrobus operator to ensure an option to purchase tickets with cash continues to be available.

The below details other available options for using cash to purchase a ticket:

Use of a preloaded card (top up card with cash then use to purchase tickets at iPoints or on bus through tap on tap off capping)
