I work for a Rail Building contractor and we are struggling to match colours of old station signage. I would be very grateful if anybody has info on the signage at Mill Hill Broadway station.
I am interested in the existing Station Signboard not new FCC livery. I know the text is Helvetica but need to find out the two blue colours used. If anybody knows what it is or have any other useful info I would be very grateful. I will attach a photo if can work out how.

I'm not sure if it'll help ye at all as I don't know the names of paint colours used on the NR network, but if thy paint mixing company can mix using hexadecimal or RGB colour declarations, then the values below may help ye. 8)

The text of the sign looks to me like it's fairly close to #5868FF (RGB: 88, 104, 255), although I can't really tell from the picture due to JPEG mutilation.
The border on the other hand looks very close to #0000AA (RGB: 0, 0, 170) and would probabally be called "Royal Blue" given it's shade.

Hope this helps in some way! <D

Of course, there's a fair chance that the colours have faded. That'll complicate things somewhat.

Thanks very much for your help I know it is a bit of a tall order.
Think will have to head down there with my colour chart and do some matching. Thanks again.

I don't think the font is Helvetica. It looks like the "Transport" font designed by Jock Kinnear for use mainly on UK road signs but also seen throughout the rail network. See http://www.cbrd.co.uk/media/fonts/ for more details (and a download!). Although very similar, the top of the lower case 'r' and the bottom of the lower case 'y' are quite distinctive.

I hope this helps.

Looks like Network Southeast blue to me but with a border rather then the standard NSE stripe along the bottom. Looks to be the same font format as well.?
