Well we sailed past Shotton without stopping so let's hope we are going to Wrexham! (Class 33 plus the single coach on the 33 end).
Rumour on the train is that Wrexham vice Shotton is due to the inadequate facilities for passengers of reduced mobility at the latter (there are two people in wheelchairs on the train).
That would be like banning the use of roads because one of them wasn't maintained properly!I hope this incident doesn't lead to a blanket ban on charters using unusual lines.

Quite a few disappointed photographers at Bidston this morning (including me!) - would have been interesting to see a diesel-hauled passenger train traversing the Merseyrail lines. I do hope they will try again at some point.
