68011 has just left WLMD heading north on test with the Banbury set as 5N68.

Is there any info on when a 68 is likely to be at Kidderminster? I assume they'll be taking over the kiddy Marylebone route at some stage?

Not for a while yet, but they are making regular test runs to/from
Stourbridge Junction, if that helps?

The 1750 Marylebone-Banbury has been short formed for the last 2 days - just a couple of defective coaches or has the whole set gone kaput and been subbed? Or, horror of horrors, has the 68 flaked out?

The whole set seem to have some sort of issue over the past couple of days.

68012 and the blue grey set were at Banbury at 1730 tonight

So it must have been substituted on its booked working tonight then, otherwise it wouldn't have got there till 1905. Thought so, it looked like that was the case yesterday too.

From what we can gather it is not the loco that has a problem, but we have got 2 coaches in the Banbury set that have either suspect MA sets or another electrical fault. This is tripping out the train supply on the loco under certain conditions. Apart from that we were out with 68012 and a short Banbury set on test/training today without any problems. We should be out again tomorrow as well.....

There was one earlier on what I assume to be a test run heading towards Moor Street not long after my 1255 left there.

5J68 headed north to Stourbridge. Dont know what its return was, but apparently that will be it for training until the new year.

And yet people prefer Mk3s to Voyagers... ;)

The 68 (not sure what unit) was out today on the Banbury set. First impressions are its a very nice looking loco as it speeds past West Ruislip. Also you don't get the stench of diesel fumes after it speeds by as you do with the 67's, not sure whether that's a good thing.

How many 68's have Chiltern received so far? I have not seen any in passenger service as of yet. Is 17:50 from MYB the only service running fairly regularly with a 68 on so far?
