Excellent train. The previous version was nigh on perfect but this one jsut took it a few steps closer. The only reason it isn't perfect is now because of the limitations of BVE itself.
The sounds are spot on, especially enjoy the rattles and track sounds, really emerses you in the feeling of being on a real 156. Well done also for implementing realistic volume of the engines becuase after all, the engine noise is alot quieter in the cab and thats how it has been simulated in this train. I'm not even a fan of units but this is a joy to drive.

Well done to all involved. Tis' a great train.

Hmm... don't know. I preferred the old version, not keen on this one but can't quite put my finger on why!

I think you might just be being too picky, Craig, because this model is "different" from those we experience up here.... for instance, to my ears, while the conductor/driver buzzer sounds right, it sounds ever so slightly too short; and, in my experience as a passenger, there seems to be rather more time between the warning sounding for the doors closing and them actually closing, locking, and the conductor giving the buzzes.... but, hey, don't get me wrong, people, this is an absolutely marvellous train and a joy to drive!

Once again, congratulations to all involved.

I only have a certain ammount of time before the door interlock is released, thats why the number of beeps are minimized. Not unless you want the interlock to release before the doors close? :P

Buzzer, I've had many people talk about this, you must all understand that its so varible and can even sound different in each end of one unit!

Thanks for all comments, Class 170, 153, 158 all to come...

I think I also preferred the old one - just for little things really - the guards buzzer for example sounds a bit odd and so on.

Jeez, you can't please everyone!

Ther's nothing wrong with the new version, personally I think it's more realistic than the previous version. There's more ambience to it, like hearing the conductor in the background at every other station or so operating the doors & buzzer, & closing the controls after the train has departed, hearing the destination blind being changed, etc. etc. Well done! :)

I heard the soundclip for the 153 Zane, and I was just amazed at how real it was. The sound for the current 153 is good, don't get me wrong, but that clip has much more rumble for a 153!

Only if you keep shutting down the engine at every station. The destination board sounds are linked to the engine start/stop sounds.

I understand perfectly well the logistics of buzzers - I think I've heard several hundred thousands at the least over the years, but I just can't say I've ever heard one that sounds like that is all.
