Am I missing something or have they vinyled over or removed the DOO cameras
Looks like they've been removed. They're not needed on WMT so why bother keeping and maintaining them?

Thanks for that.Next move from Ilford to Tyseley

Expect them all to have orange ends once they have had the Tyseley treatment.I spy yellow on the ends.
This could be a 172 PTI test.

It's 4 cars. 172003 and 172008, both in new livery. They are testing platform height etc. This could be a 172 PTI test.

I wouldn't be surprised if nothing happened.Does anyone know what arrived from Ilford yesterday?
It did run, RTT failed to pick it up.I wouldn't be surprised if nothing happened.
It never got activated on RTT.

It seems that they have been spending about 6 weeks at Ilford for fitting of toilet etc.I am finding it a bit difficult to keep up with current location and status of these 172`s coming to WMT. So PRM mods are being undertaken at Ilford and new livery work undertaken at Tysley. Is it taking three weeks to re-livery each set? May timetable change on Sunday 19th. How many 172`s are needed on which routes and will they enter service on 19th? I do not expect WMT to run 172`s without new livery?
Would someone give us an up to date table on status of each unit please?

Two units are required for Leamington-Nuneaton from next month, the remainder will be deployed on Snow Hill services. Will the 172/0's only operate on the Leamington/Coventry/Nuneaton route or will they also operate on other routes such as the Snow Hill lines?
I would also imagine some will turn up on Worcester - New Street runs in place of 150s.Two units are required for Leamington-Nuneaton from next month, the remainder will be deployed on Snow Hill services.
A 170 displaced from Chase Line should cover that jobI would also imagine some will turn up on Worcester - New Street runs in place of 150s.

The 172/0s are indeed vital to the Snow Hill capacity improvements. Sadly on the Stourbridge/Kidderminster side the lengthened/additional services are mostly at the wrong times! The May timetable has 3 additional morning peak services from Whitlock's End/Dorridge into Birmingham. I find it hard how they will introduce these services without the new 172s.
New:
07:33 Whitlock's End - Birmingham Snow Hill 07:54
08:11 Dorridge - Worcester Shrub Hill 9:38 (BSW @ 08:39)
08:23 Whitlock's End - Stourbridge Junction 09:10 (BSW @ 08:45)
Retimed:
07:41 (prev 07:43) Startford Upon Avon - Birmingham Snow Hill 08:40
07:47 (prev same) Leamington Spa - Birmingham Snow Hill (08:26) (Now express from Dorridge calling Solihull only - previously continued to Worcester Shrub Hill 09:40, via BSW @ 08:43)
(I may have muddles some departure times with arrival times. All times were meant to be departure.)
(I haven't looked much at the Stourbdige End but it looks pretty much totally retimed in the new timetable.)
Also since there doesn't seem to be a separate thread for timetable discussion, may as well add that Dorridge/Whitlock's End branches are increasing evening services from 1 train per hour to 2 through to end of service.
