Hi, today on my way back from college, around 3.30, i saw a 313 going over the London Road viaduct. Still in ex-silverlink, with all the London Overground stuff removed.

Didnt manage to catch the number or anything, as i was on ground level :)

Probably on driver training duty then.

Could be, i was thinking it might be gauge testing. But i was told a while ago, that because the 442s are cleared for it the 313s are too.

Yes, I saw it. Not sure how successful Southern colours are on a 313! Looked more like some kind of undercoat...

Have these been done up inside too? If so, do they still have the low-backed seating?

No, apparently these two are untouched inside

There are two units at Brighton 313108 which has been there since before Christmas and has now been recently joined by 313109. They are for driver training, doing trips to Haywards Heath and Newhaven Marine.

Normal weeday timings are
5Z20TT [SX] 10:15 Lovers Walk T&R.S.M.D - Newhaven Marine via Haywards Heath
5Z21: 12+07 Newhaven Marine to Brighton via Falmer
5Z22: 13+22 Brighton to Newhaven Marine via Falmer
5Z23: 15+07 Newhaven Marine to Lovers Walk via Falmer

313204 plus 313205 have left wolverton works in southern colours on route to brighton. EX 104/105:::(::

Oh really? Anyone got any pictures, i cant wait to see them!

Also, apparently, Southern are just deep cleaning some trains so they can get them working on Brighton-Seaford and Brighton-West Worthing, so they can free up the 377/3s. Without the 377s being refurbished for London Workings the 313s wont have any new seats :D.

if anyones still planning to go and see them, then you get a much better view from the tracks of the Bakerloo line on the other side of the depot, me and a friend saw them on Saturday the 16th.

The current location for the Southern 313's that have been released to us are
313101 at Stewarts Lane
313108 and 313109 at Brighton for driver training etc
313204 and 313205 ( ex 104 and 105 ) at Willesden TMD they were moved from Wolverton on the 14/1/10.

No relivered unit has ventured south of the thames yet.

Why are the passenger doors light green rather than the darker green seen on class 455s? I don't like the central green cab door either. It seems the only livery to have truly suited these strange-looking units was the BR blue-grey they originally carried.

I was a bit confused about that too.
