804 as above. 825/831/836 in from Northampton last week to replace/cover new TT.Path in from Ilford to Newport on Monday, guessing it's a pair of 315s for scrap but can't see any loco paths from Leicester yet https://live.rail-record.co.uk/train?c=K05862&d=16/12/2019

The 1722 Liverpool St to Cheshunt and return is no longer worked by the AGA 317 that does the 1907 to King's Lynn. Instead the units come from Chingford and return to Chingford. I guess this means that LO requires an extra pair of units.804 as above. 825/831/836 in from Northampton last week to replace/cover new TT.
Think about those of us for whom 315s have been their main traction ever since they were born :P315804 is now making its one way trip behind 37800 to Newport Docks for scrapping. First of the ‘angry eye’ headlight ones to be scrapped too.
Tbh I am very sad to see 804 go as this was the first 315 I got to go on back in July 2015. Went on it from Seven Sisters to Tottenham Hale and must say I enjoyed the journey on it!
from an Overground perspective not yet! next one around Feb / March time.
TfL remain as post 453I have: -
40 units in service - 315.801-3,5-12,15,17-20,22,24-7,29-31,34,36-9,43-4,47-9,51-4,56-7
3 units stored - 315.816,33,59
18 units scrapped - 315.804,13-4,21,23,28,32,35,40-2,45-6,50,55,58,60-1
Is that correct?
3 moved from store to tfl but only 2 went for scrap. Read somewhere, extra units for extra services.I was just about to ask, did LO pick up an extra unit from TfL Rail? They only started with 17 units didn’t they.
I thought it was only one unit, not a pair?According to Wikipedia, London Overground are down to 16 units. How many Class 710/1 units have entered service?
Also, is it still planned for London Overground to retain a pair of 315s for the Romford-Upminster?
Maybe the second would be used as a spare?I thought it was only one unit, not a pair?
That would make a great deal of sense but goes against what I've heard up until now. I always thought the idea of keeping just one legacy unit was daft.Maybe the second would be used as a spare?
During December I saw all the LO units bar 315831 & 317729/891. 315804 was seen in service on the 11th November before going for scrap on the 16th. Like some of the 313's beforehand it looks like this one went straight out of service for scrap.
I make it 19 x 315's and 14 x 317's in LO service now. A total of 33, two extra to cover the two GA 317's that are no longer hired in after the December timetable changes.
