321.427 + 430What units do you think were involved?
What units are there at the mo?The long line of disused 321s noted at Harwich yesterday. Most are pan down!
Are those going for scrap?321.427 + 430
Probably, or at least we know they are off leaseAre those going for scrap?
I doubt it. Most areas around ports are secure and from the pictures I've seen on flickr, you might be able to grab a distant shot from the station. I haven't been to Parkeston for about 30 years so really don't know the area enoughAlso, whereabouts are the Harwich stored units, is it a place thats easy to get a photo of?
Between Harwich Parkeston Quay and Dovercourt. You can get a good shot of them from the A120 overbridge. It is a very long line if trains though - nine units perhaps? Also, whereabouts are the Harwich stored units, is it a place thats easy to get a photo of?
You also get van ‘ok’ view from the train when arriving and departing from harwich internationalBetween Harwich Parkeston Quay and Dovercourt. You can get a good shot of them from the A120 overbridge. It is a very long line if trains though - nine units perhaps?
Hard to tell as it hasn't run yet! I say 'first for scrap via the ECML' as 321334 left Anglian metals via the ECML to become a parcels unit at Wabtec Doncaster. What units do you think were involved?
I guess you will see one end of the train there and as much of the train sitting round the bend towards Dovercourt as the view allows. You also get van ‘ok’ view from the train when arriving and departing from harwich international
The train is on a long siding east of Parkeston/Harwich International station in the Dovercourt direction . I'm not sure if any units are sitting in the sidings west of the station - even though I have seen 745's stabled there in the past.I doubt it. Thanks for that.Between Harwich Parkeston Quay and Dovercourt. You can get a good shot of them from the A120 overbridge. It is a very long line if trains though - nine units perhaps?
Thanks .There's a fares section for this purpose, but you could also try the national rail site
Presumably to work this:https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/K02086/2021-04-16/detailed. Given the amount of stock received at Newport his week (8 units of various classes?) unsurprising it is headed to Booths37884 at Colchester for
Realtime Trains - FRGT 0655 Colchester C.S.D. to Clacton C.S.D. 16/04
With units 321354 and 321360.
321352 was there earlier this month, on the up side in a siding towards London all on its own. Pantograph still up.Thanks for that.
Is there any at Clacton anymore?
I’m worried about 321421 the most. Looks like it’s in warm store- it’s been there for a few days now (at Colchester north)321352 was there earlier this month, on the up side in a siding towards London all on its own. Pantograph still up.
Might as well forget the hunt for it then. There’s no need to use stored units at the moment as the 720 rollout is progressing so well - eight or nine pairs out when I was in London last Monday. Oh well, it was closeI’m worried about 321421 the most. Looks like it’s in warm store- it’s been there for a few days now (at Colchester north)
I saw it at Colchester North a few weekends ago with its pan up so unless its moved, it has been there for a few weeksI’m worried about 321421 the most. Looks like it’s in warm store- it’s been there for a few days now (at Colchester north)
