And a very apathetic Labour government who, I believe, electrified absolutely nothing or, at the most, a few small infills?

Labour took far too long to buck its ideas up with electrification.

However, the Conservatives haven't done significantly better.

If GWML electrification is ever resumed, it will cost more than if it was allowed to continue in the first place.

MML electrification has been, currently, watered down as far as Corby and Market Harborough. This needs to reach Nottingham and Sheffield.

Why isn't East-West Rail being built as an electrified railway?

However, TransPennine electrification is welcome. Hopefully it's completed in full.

321 331 through 321 333, 321 335 through 321 343, 321 406 through 321 410, 321 421, 321 423, 321 424, 321 426, 321 427, 321 430 through 321 434, 321 436, 321 439 through 321 441 and 321 444.
Converted to Class 320s:
321 401, 321 402, 321 404, 321 411 through 321 418 and 321 420.

Not mentioned trains are scrapped.
Just to clarify - 301-330 (including 321321) are with Greater Anglia?

I was under the impression that these 30 are the only 321s still in service at this time.

Me too.

But I'm not sure whether the Swift Parcels or Hydrogen projects have got any further. I'm assuming those 321s at Gasgoigne Woods are in too poor a state to be of any use now and again, what of those at Wolverton?

So getting back on topic, only the Renatus 321's are left now and they will be staying for the forseeable with GA (?)
I can't see any Renatus 321s going anywhere soon. Looking at the 720 thread not sure what's wrong as hardly any new 720s have entered service in the last month or two compared to earlier in the year.

I was confused by your original post which suggested that non-Renatus 321s are still in use.
Same. They aren't. 321419 and 321407 are at Wolverton for conversion part of the other 4 for Eversholt and Swift along with the other two listed which went late October 2021 to Wolverton. Also 321429 went with 321419. 321407 with 321428. Have on film at Milton Keynes and Leighton Buzzard respectively.
Also former move is on YouTube also at Milton Keynes. 321447 I believe is at Worksop went around late Last year.
321403 certainly isn't in service with Abeillo Anglia. Either of hand isn't it with Scotrail has a 4 car. However stand me wrong if with 321403.

Thank you. Thought it had.
From memory one of the P5 books erroneously included 320402. I took a trip to Scotland, and spent a while trying to find it - time at Partick, Glasgow Central, etc.
I then found out its conversion had been cancelled. But my trip wasn't wasted - managed to get in a few 'rare' PSUL curves.

On the other hand, how many diagrams are there for 321s now? Presumably, the remaining 30 321s could be replaced by around 12-15 720s, assuming some replacement is 5 for 8.

GA MD seems to think all 321's will be gone by New Year ......
Does 321 replacement take precedence over doubling up existing 720 operated services?

Could it be that the "pause" in accepting new units is the wait for the autotransformer feeding to go online between Stratford and Shenfield? (In fairness I don't know how much more energy is consumed daily if all services were 720/345/745-operated.)
ATFS looks way off being ready last time i travelled up there but maybe they've had a blitz on it.

321403 was converted to 320403 for Scotrail.
321402 wasnt converted for Scotrail
Thanks for that.
320402 is listed in both the 2019 Loco + Coaching stock and the 2022/23 Rilling Stock Review but never seems to be in service but now I know why I can’t find it!
203 is listed in neither so I haven’t been looking for it!
While off topic do 769426 and 952 exist as showing in the RSR 22 Review?

That's not entirely accurate. Ordered for Stansted, occasionally showed up on other GN or West Anglia routes. Early privatisation they went to North Western Trains for their Manchester Airport to London services. When those were axed they had a bit of a nomadic existence for a while covering for 321s and 317s on various routes, it was quite odd seeing the old NWT Gold Star livery at Kings Cross. Next permanent home was Scotland for North Berwick services, replacing the short 90-hauled sets, before moving to Northern to supplement the 321/9s and 333s, and remove the last diesel diagram from the Airedale & Wharfedale lines.
I was sure there was two spells of 322s on the North Berwicks, with the 90s and diesels being in between those.
On the second spell with First they were refurbished and repainted in to the blue and pink scheme.

Units 321410 and 321447.
Finally through Swinton Station South Yorkshire around nearly two hours late.
Due to issues around Milford Junction.
37884 with 321410 321447.
Only 6 left at Gasgoine Wood.
Whilst running as 5q25 1133 Gasgoine Wood to Booths Rotherham.
Well worth the wait.
