It looks like the three moves earlier this week were 345064 on Monday morning, 345038 on Monday afternoon and 345013 yesterday. 345064 and 345038 appear to have been in service on the west side yesterday as they returned to Old Oak Depot on 5Y22 0958 Paddington to Old Oak Depot and 5Y24 1125 Paddington to Old Oak Depot earlier today. 345013 was reported elsewhere as being yesterday's move. That leaves 012, 042 and 056 east side, presumably to move in the near future.

Quite interesting to see how the prevalence of 7-car operation on the west side at the moment, in between their transfer and the conversion work.

The change in ownership will either lead to a collapse of reliability from the supplier OR an improvement in dealing with problems. The latter seems to be possible what is happening.

I’m not a tracker of rolling stock numbers but it has been confirmed by internal email today that the last of the 7 cars will be shipped West on Monday 14th, so as of Tuesday all 345s will be 9 cars on the East.

My bold. Note is appears 013 moved.

My bold. My guess is that maybe one of 012, 042 or 056 moved West instead of 013.

So narrow that down to 042 might have come across to the west instead of 013.

On Tuesday, it appears that the locomotive intended to move 345013 went from Old Oak Depot to Ilford https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:86565/2021-12-07/detailed then coupled up - it was reported in the ukmodernemu group that "Did see 345013 with the 'off-topic' machine, but don't know what happened after that." - but the movement was cancelled https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:K02072/2021-12-07/detailed and the locomotive went empty to Wembley https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:86903/2021-12-07/detailed

On 345042, I note that a 345 had been in the southernmost depot road inside the building at Ilford when I have passed, both on Saturday 4 December and Thursday 9 December, which could be this, but no observation possible.

Seems there may well be four 7-car units to move.

Thanks @JonathanH. Yes it would appear that 013 has been active in the East more recently than 042. Now maybe 042 is hiding. Conjecture but maybe 042 was out of traffic for some reason and Ilford wanted to hang on to 013 - at least until enough 9-car replacements have arrived in the East.

508H 1349 ilford E.M.U.D to old oak emud.
37510 moved 345012 to old oak common.
Saw the move into old oak around 1530 pm approximately.
However 345012 as returned to old oak common.

Gosh I had completely forgotten about North to South. East-West had taken over my mind. Only one left to deliver then !. How many to lengthen though ?.

Assuming that 345022 has now been converted, I make it 13 left to extend now - 345003/09/11-17/38/42/56/64. 345003 hasn't been 'seen' since 1 December so I guess that one is the next to be done. 345009/11/14-17/38/64 have all been in service west side over the past few days and 345012/13/42/56 are discussed above.

345022 made the 'telltale' trip to signal berth 0142, that we have seen for previous units, on Thursday and then again today suggesting it has been worked on recently.

For reference, 345006 made this trip on 16 November (as reported in message 4506) and 345007 made it on 29 November.

RTT suggests there was simply a technical fault - it wouldn't be the first time - the 9-car 'replacements' come freely through the tunnel to work a few days on the east side at a time so no issue with sourcing 9-car units.

Not passenger service. 345018 has done test runs to Reading / Heathrow. 345007 may have worked similar last Monday.

345006 doesn't appear to have done passenger workings as a 9-car yet either, only 5Gxx workings.
