So since there are still some 67's in use, are these now being used on a 'spot hire' basis, and are there still some teething troubles with using the 68's (or is it just crew training issues) ?

Should have gone all 68 now (but not confirmed) with a couple of 67s retained as back up for a week or two.

AFAIK we should be keeping the 2 67's until April 20th. But dont quote me on that as the situation seems to be rather fluid at the moment.

The 5J61 1955 Birmingham Moor Street to Stourbridge Jn Depot ECS has just stopped over road bridges A4123 and Pool lane in Oldbury for unknown reason. 68013's engine was still running so the problem must have been with the stock.
By the time i got there after a phone call from my mother, 5 mins later 013 was on her way to Rowley Regis

Thanks Mom for the tip off

What a shame those ECS jobs every weekend are not turned into class 1s, what a waste of capacity!!

Presumably the guard gets off at Birmingham Snow Hill and consequently passengers cannot be carried onwards. Also, it must keep the driver's shift a small bit shorter.

On the other hand, you'd think that Chiltern would sell more tickets if they offered through trains in the morning and evening.

Hi,
These diagrams are just what I'm after for my trip to the UK in May.
Please can you tell me if they are still valid when the timetable changes? If not, are you able to supply the new diagrams please?
Thanks very much.

Hi All,
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to view the trains - particularly the 68s - from the road bridge on Rossmore Road?
Or is there somewhere better? - assuming access to the platforms is not allowed!
Thanks very much.

When you get to Marylebone, just go to the Information Point and sign in and you will be allowed access to the platforms to view our 68's. We are accommodating to the enthusiast community at Marylebone.

Anyone know what hauling these two tonight please

1K62 18:15 London Marylebone - Kidderminster

1K57 17:15 London Marylebone - Kidderminster

They should be 68010 on the 18:15 and 68013 on the 17:15. The 18:47 should be 68012.

Yep. It headed up a few days ago with 014 as they were both due exams (I think 014 is back at Wembley now though). 68008 is still on the Banbury set (as far as I known0 but that is also due an exam so will probably be gone soon too.

Presumably there is no guarantee that 68008 or 68009 turn up again any time soon since there are six dedicated 68s (010-015) which should be sufficient for five diagrams?
